有一个问题,中国最早翻译国外古典丛书的商务印书馆,用的都是白话文,或者翻译体,表意非常清晰准确
我举出上面一个例子,是想说明不仅有谬误存在,而且远远达不到商务印书馆原著白话文的那种震撼力

战争宽恕了懦夫,而非勇士。引申意义在于战争过后,活下来的都是懦夫,而勇者皆战死,详见希特勒遗言:“……德国剩下的都是懦夫,因为勇敢的人都战死了……”

要么挎着盾牌荣归故里,要么躺在上面裹尸而还
其实这句翻译的很有气势,似乎人教版初中历史书(也可能是岳麓版高中历史书)有白话的翻译,母亲对儿子临行前的嘱托:要么带着盾牌回来,不能,就躺在上面回来吧。
因为斯巴达有躺在盾牌让人抬回来的传统,而没有马革裹尸的传统
5.He serves me most, who serves his country best.
为国家效命就是为我效命(指为国家效力就是为所有公民效力)
这句有待商榷,出自荷马的伊利亚特,似乎可以研究下
阁下可能看出,我并非归化派的支持者,呵呵

古文时代的汉人和古罗马人的精神气质是完全不同的,文言翻译不见得就符合那个时代,反而更加南辕北辙,不伦不类,很多旧译酸腐不忍卒读

做个基数来说,离开学校之后往往工作繁忙,文言文会和外语一样水准逐渐下降,所以以翻译的信达雅来说,文言文可能会造成一定程度上中文的理解困难。而不是要求说你看不懂文言文就没有文化之类...&&当然也会有低龄玩家
