You can reserve your unit for 1,000 INR ($18.23 USD), paying the balance when the device is released, which is the fourth week of May according to the retailer. With the trusty physical keyboard on the phone, this is the model that many BlackBerry fans have been waiting for.The BlackBerry Q10 is basically following the same route that the Canadian manufacturer used when it started the global launch of the all-touch . Above the keyboard is a 3.1 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen with a 720 x 720 resolution which works out to a 330ppi pixel density, and there is a dual-core 1.5GHz processor under the hood. Inside the unit is 2GB of RAM and the 16GB of internal storage can be expanded with the 64GB capacity microSD slot. The camera on back is 8MP and can capture video in 1080p while the front-facing snapper weighs in at 2MP. Good to see that the manufacturers are prioritizing India more than before. Even companies like Oppo, Gionee are launching phones here. Local brands like Micromax, Karbonn are flourishing and Nokia, Samsung, Apple also are launching phones much sooner here without shortage issues.
From what I see around here India is going to witness a HUGE boom in smartphone selles throughout 2013 and 2014.
The Z10 is priced more than the S4 in my country too. Just plain ridiculous for a company to charge an arm for a hardware that is considered obsolete by today's standards.
Competition is healthy...but come on BB, with your pricing scheme you won't be able to last longer without massive job layoffs and cutbacks.
