急，一道英语题
在沪江关注实用英语的沪友colors1遇到了一个关于基础英语的疑惑，并悬赏300沪元，已有14人提出了自己的看法。

只要他用心就行了。
这样语义上也说得通啊。
我查过语法了。应该是选B。回答与问句的时态不相同，使用了虚拟语气，其它三个选项应与问句时态相同。

只有D可以选，中文讲得通英文未必对

其实not sure。 回答的人强调条件（集中精力去工作）
英文里面一般都是
not ... unless...的句式
c: on condition 意思上时对的，应该是on condition that...吧
如果是only if 才对。
if only的意思是“如果……就好了，事实是相反的情况”

A： in case表示(1) 如果，万一(用作连词，表示条件)。如：In case I forget, please remind me about it. 万一我忘记，请请醒我一下。(2) 以防，免得(用作连词，表示目的)。如：Take your umbrella (just) in case it rains. 带上雨伞，以防下雨。(3) 以防万一，免得(用作副词)：It may not rain, but you had better take an umbrella incase. 可能不会下雨，但你最好还是带把雨伞，以防万一.所以，此选项的哪一个意思，都不适用此题。
B：if only ，一定要与“only if” 区分，你可以着重记第二个词来区分它们，也就是 if only第二个词是only 因而此句强调的是“如果……就好了，事实是相反的情况”，儿only if第二个词是if 因而强调的是假设或者条件。因此不选B
C：用on condition that 引出条件从句，一般可译为“只要……”。例如：We will let you operate this new machine on condition that you follow the operating rules.只要你遵守操作规程，我们就让你操作这台新机器。以本人愚见，如果此题后半句没有could,应该可选C，有could时，选D为佳。异曲同工，即：
__On condition that__ he give his mind to it.=__Unless_ he could give his mind to it.
