repair的详细讲解：
repair的基本意思是“修理”,指将破损的东西通过一些加工处理后使其恢复原有的功能或价值。用于抽象事物还可指“纠正,补救”。
repair主要用作及物动词,后接名词或代词作宾语; 可用于被动结构。偶尔也可用作不及物动词,其主动形式常含有被动意义。
repair还表示“经常地或成群地去(某地)”解,是不及物动词,常与介词to连用,往往出现在文学语言或修饰语里。

5.patch指用一块材料把有洞的地方、有裂痕的地方、被穿破的地方贴起来。例如:

maintain的意思是“维修”,以免不发生故障; repair的意思是“更新”“恢复原状”。
