[澳洲打工渡假]米其林大大說的非常詳盡，我補充我自身的一個例子如下：我在RACV（VIC的RAC叫做RACV)買的是任意險加道路救援，也就是出車禍的話...不會有爭議之後才送件，若因為寫的有一點灰色地帶，可能RACV認為對方不是100%的錯的話，我可是半毛錢都拿不到。以上是我的例子供參考。

你若在Perth，可去RAC購買Motor Vehicle Third Party Property Damage Policy，并可連同24-hour Roadside Assistance一起購買，避免拋錨在半路上。
如四樓所言，附在Rego支付的是第三責任險，只針對撞到人做理賠，所以三樓說的并不正確。

你可以去suncorp問問，我也是保這家
保車子的保險有分兩種，一種是全保(就是雙方)，一種是只保對方車子
全保叫做:comprehensive，一年大約au七八百塊
只保對方車子:~~可能要問一下行員，一年大約一百至兩百多快，要看你要保的理賠自負額是au600還是au200
全保:自己須負擔au600，超過之後的金額，保險公司才會理賠
只保對方車子:有分兩種理賠，一種是自己負擔au600，一種是自己只需負擔au200，超過之後的金額，保險公司才會理賠

全險的意思是...發生意外是全額幾付嗎?
若是自己車全毀 那保險公司也賠償嗎?
但是保險公司要怎麼知道這台車的價值?
是會以當初我買這台車的金額賠償?
可是很多買賣車子的雙方不是都會把交易金額寫很低
降過戶費就不用繳那麼多

如果有買車的朋友，我建議大家保全險COMPREHENSIVE
因為買車每3個月要繳的REGO就已經含了3RD PARTY 第三責任險
就以我買第一台車的例子而言
1996年HOLDEN COMMODORE的STATION WAGON
購入時前車主已跑了25萬公里，2008年6月在南澳購入是AUD2900加3顆備胎和2個大燈
車子狀況量好，購入後花了AUD150換了所有油和剎車皮，其它沒有大礙
過戶時，為了少繳稅，我們只報AUD1000為車值，但我們去SGIC保險時，
小姐報價第三責任險是AUD 500左右，而全險是AUD800左右一年份，
不過不含車窗破掉，那個要另加。
而我們的報價AUD800掛了我男友(23歲)和我的名字(27歲)，如果只掛我的名字會比較便宜，
但出事的話必須只有我駕駛才行。
2008年7月底因為那時在ALICE SPRINGS南邊的KULGERA ROADHOUSE工作，
一次放假我和男友決定前往真正的澳洲地理中心，在往FINKE原住民社區的FINKE ROAD上約100km處有個turnout，
因為FINKE ROAD路況不好，我們的車又是2輪傳動當4輪的在跑土路，
時速60~80KM, 在出發後約45公里處，車子失控先向右偏，於是我們把方向盤向左打要控制回來，
但車子開始向右偏，很怕跑出軌道於是用力向右打之後，整個車子先是180度大轉向把我們打到對向路肩後，
翻過去倒頭栽再翻回來，車子停下來不動時，引擎還在運轉，所以我們很怕會爆炸馬上熄火準備離開車子。
在出事前，我們還在喝可樂，因為有點熱所以把窗戶打開一點，經過這樣一翻滾後，
可樂加上OUTBACK的紅土，我整個頭看起來像是流滿了血一樣，其實只是可樂紅土混合物，
把我男友嚇壞了，事實是我們2個非常幸運，車子全毀，但人只有手上有個小割傷。
下車發現四個輪胎全爆而且鋼圈殼都飛走，背後檔風玻璃全破，所有CAMPING用具飛的到處都是，
看來很嚇人。

FINKE ROAD上基本上沒來車，但幸運的我們坐在地上等了大概20分鐘來了一台ROADTRAIN，
好心的ROAD TRAIN司機載我們回KULGERA，大夥看到我們才離開2小時不到怎麼又回到工作區很驚訝之外，
沒人相信我們才剛翻了車回來。
ROADHOUSE旁邊有駐警察，休息一會警察陪我們回到案發現場，搬回我們所有的家當
PS:當時一緊張，連錢包啥都沒拿就跳上ROAD TRAIN，但其實警察是建議
這樣我們所有東西都很危險，很可能被路人全劫走，所以一定要隨身帶重要物品才行。
回到ROADHOUSE後，打電話向SGIC申報我們的案件，哩哩雜雜的問了很多問題快要半小時。
當晚他們從ALICE SPRINGS派了OUTBACK VEHICLE RECOVERY的人來拖車，
當晚我們的車就被拖去ALICE SPRINGS的車廠放了，他們會評估車子的可修性並通知SGIC，
一個禮拜的催促後，我們拿回現金如下
車子市值(MARKET VALUE) AUD4200，因為車子是我男友駕駛，所以要扣AUD700的費用，加上當初以月繳的方式付保險費
所以全部扣完，在事發後一周，SGIC把AUD 2738轉脹到我們的脹戶。
這樣想起來這個全險保的很划算。
2008年9月，我們再度回南澳，買了第2台車
TOYOTA LANDCRUISER PRADO
1997年，購入時只跑了14萬公里，車況如全新，還含5顆一顆要AUD350的全新COOPERS輪胎。
車子購入價為AUD12500，車子的MARKET VALUE有AUD15000，
而保險這次我就只保了我的名字，保險費是AUD800多一年，這次就一次付了一年份。
2008年11月，在KATHERINE一次倒車時，撞了一台停在旁邊的人的車，對方的保險桿凹了，
我們的保險桿也凹了，於是向保險公司呈報，保險公司我們必須付AUD400，但這會包含修對方的車，
和修我們的車。當鑑去KATHERINE CRASH REPAIR，過了一周後，換了一根新的保險桿
我們自己換一根新的保險桿都要AUD1000如果沒保險。
所以現在再想一想，我覺得保全險很划算。
不過我如果要保第2年，因為第一年出事過，所以第二年的保險金他不會給我45%的折扣。
也許換一家保險公司或換個名字保吧，我想。。。。

1.那可以請問一下出事後的處理流程嗎?
Call ambulance first if anyone is serious hurt. These are the required particulars (info) of other car involved in the accident:
a. Make, Model and Rego of the other car.
b. The other car's owner & driver's name, address, phone no. & drivers licence number.
d. Ask whether the other car is insured, and what company if it is.
e. Best to take a photo so you can describe the damage and approximate cost when you fill out the claim form.
f. Name, phone no. of any independent witnesses.
g. Name and direction of the street(s).
h. Call/visit your insurance company to make a claim.
i. Try to fill out as much details of the accident as possible on the claim form. You must describe and draw about the accident.
I and other friends here surely can translate the details in CH to Eng if someone needs some help

Not necessary. If the accident is serious, some states require you to report to Police. If someone hit-and-run, yes you need to report to police right away.

Yes as soon as practicable.

Yes you can call insurance company see wether towing charge is included in your policy.

If you have comprehensive insurance, all you have to do is collect as much info about the other driver as possible, and make a claim.
If you have third party claim (not the one with rego), yes you still need to obtain info about the other driver and report to your insurance company.
6.其它棧友想的到的點
Best if you can get more independent witnesses.
Making sure to take photos of all aspects of the accident BEFORE moving your car.
Bad luck if you don't have an insurance. You are on your own.
Remember. Buy an insurance is a responsible thing to do, to the ones that love you.

Some people do purposely reduce the purchase price on the used car to avoid paying the applicable stamp duty.
It's your responsibility to tell the insurance how much you really paid for you car when you take out an insurance.
Then you have an option to insurace your car based on (if you didn't mention it, it will be Market Value automatically):
1. Market Value
2. Agree value
Of course, your insurance premium (fee) will be different based on your choice. You can get them to give you two quotes so that you can compare them.
One thing you may want to consider before you choosing the option, is the REPLACEMENT COST of the car.
If you choose market value, for example, you paid $2000 initially for you car, but you only get $1000 payout if the car is fully written off (not repairable). You have to ask yourself, can you buy another car with $1000?
So maybe you should pay a bit more insurance premium by choosing agree value, let says, $2500?! So in the event of fully written off, your replacement cost (money to buy another car) is covered.
The above is only a suggestion. Do your own research.

米其林大大說的非常詳盡，我補充我自身的一個例子如下：
我在RACV（VIC的RAC叫做RACV)買的是任意險加道路救援，也就是出車禍的話，可以理賠對方的財物損失以及拖救的保障，但是不賠自己車輛的損失；但若被撞而對方沒有保險，則我可以獲得理賠。
我的情況是在Driveway準備倒車時，另一部大型SUV也倒車撞了我的車屁股，而我是停止的狀態。對方當時很兇悍（澳洲的單親媽媽一般都很兇悍，這是環境使然）直說我也有錯，事實上我並沒有過失（補充：若雙方都在倒車行進中，則雙方均有過失），對方落下一句“我沒有保險，你自己看著辦”，我不願和她爭執，要了電話之後我自己找了RACV申請理賠，我買的任意險雖然不是全險，但是在對方沒有購買保險的前提下，若我無過失，RACV最高可以理賠3000元，因此我去了RACV配合的修理廠，經過估價後略微超過3000元（事實上我去了兩家，選了報價較低的一間），我取消了不重要的部份，讓總價控制在3000元以內，約了維修時間後我把車送進去，RACV自己過去車廠拍照審查，這個部份完全理賠。這裡面最重要的部份，是花了幾天的時間在理賠申請的文件上，英文有趣的地方也在此，語法與字句的一點點差異，可以影響到整個語意，當時我還請澳洲朋友再修飾一次，確保不會有爭議之後才送件，若因為寫的有一點灰色地帶，可能RACV認為對方不是100%的錯的話，我可是半毛錢都拿不到。
以上是我的例子供參考。
