after a series of so call "Bad beats" i call it "blatant fecking robbery" I decided to contact the poker-stars site using the only medium available to me namely their customer support email feature to call into question the claims that their site is completely random and fair, i guess asking for contact details of the independent companies they use to validate this claim was a step to far, they have responded by removing the email contact feature from my account completely, no phone numbers, no addresses, and now no email.......... class set up guys, be aware!!!!!!!

Don't play online
It's an easy thing to say but it's the best advice. The fact that we talk about online being rigged in itself means we shouldn't play. We don't say the same about the live game (except sometimes in fun ...well kinda fun). We get bad beats live but nothing ever even approaches the set-ups and downswings and 'bad beats' we get online.
The arguments against it being rigged are how fast it runs online, how many hands you see and if you just play more tables it evens out. Ha ha, who do think is making those arguments?
Here are some personal stats, I hope it helps even just one person stay away. Btw, I'm a half decent live player, I have profit over 10 years of $4,000/year, no massive wins, playing every week. I get bad beats and I get beaten by better players and sometimes by worse but when I get it in with AA or KK vs 44 or A2, I win 80% of the time : )

I played 1 million hands on stars. In that time, AA got beat by KK 42% of the time, AA or KK got beat by QQ 30% of the time. AQ beat my AK 38%. Set beat by over cards 21%. I have PT4 and it does tell me that I hit OESD 9% on the turn. Flush draws 13%. Combo draws 42%. I started asking the regs if they see similar, wouldn't you know it, I try to log into my account only to be locked out, good thing i was runnin g bad and withdrew 1500$ and left 400$ in there. Called PS and they told me my acc't got hacked and they used stolen card to deposit 600$ and I now owe them 600$. Umm fuck You.....
I play at 888 now, things were great until 9 months ago, now I'm seeing same happen there, is it bad runs or RNGs programmed to kill winning reg grinders???? How does your my winrate go from 8bbs/100 over 600K hands to -5bbs then next 150K hands???
Other things I've noticed, flopping 2 pair improves to full house just, well 0% in 750k hands, Should be 12.6%. WTF right?
AK AQ flopping a pair should be 32.43%, i'm flopping 27.93% and since Sept 2015 just 25%.....
How often is your set improving? for me 27%, according math, should be 33.4%
3 million hands played online since 2008 and I do not recommend anyone playing. If Gus Hansen and Phil Ivey are losing online, WTF makes you think you can beat these RNGs? And when you do, they will get rid of you one way or another, it's bad business to keep winning regs.

I just signed the online petition but think it is sad that so far only about 70 people signed. I came across your site after I quit pokerstars yesterday after years of really odd experiences. Fortunately my overall loss is limited but I simply can not believe that the game is fair. Especially strategies which worked out in live games seem to be a guarantee to lose at PS in the long term. So I totally agree with you - if you want to play, play in a live game.
In my view the best - or more precisely - the only way to stop the scam is to analyze the statistics. I very much appreciate that you took the burden to generate, record and analyze such a big number of hands which is necessary to come to valid and convincing conclusions. Therefore I would like to offer you my complete hand history at PS to contribute to such a data basis. Please let me know, whether I should send it to you.
It might also - as a long term project - be good to collect proven hand histories of donators anonymously in a sort of public accessible databasis so that a "open source" analysis of the data is possible and the data and the derived conclusions are transparent. I would also find it advisable to highlight your very good scientific approach more. I was looking for something like this for a long time because only with big numbers the suspicions can be proven.

Hands are random. Board will be calculated by balance algorithm. Algorithm is rigged. Pokerstars say that the software has been made for fun. So it will be hard mistake to start earning money in pokerstars - this is time waste - don't do it. Poker is not rocket science. Everybody can play and win. Long term play is not an option in Pokerstars. Than more You play than more You loose. Software is collecting huge amount of data of each player and balance algorithm will do his job. New players are always favored as it is everywhere.

I have been playing just for a couple of days, low stakes nothing big, and after couple of hundred of hands i have seen too many wonder wins to believe it can be true. I found this site that confirmed it.
I'm a winning player at all sites (Including stars, but just barely)
I just dont get that site. I tried to chalk it up to just better players, playing at micro SNG limits (7$) but I cant seem to get a win very often there no matter what I do. The players always seem to have "IT" at crucial times throughout a tourney, and the ridiculous hands that you see....I wont say its rigged per se, but it certainly does seem juiced for action. People with ability ratings in shark scope in the 50's are continuous miracle winners. Been playing winning poker live and online for 20 years (Sharkscope backs me up too for online to this point), and there is something definitely off about that site, its players, and the RNG. It's hard to explain but everyone always seems to "Have it". Anyways, im not going to put much into stars, if at all, likely just let my status and account dry up there, it just does not feel like a real poker game is happening, and I dont trust it at all.
None of you get it they cheat the odds to turn over more games per day to make more money. Just like video poker in Vegas. They do not care who wins just as long as it is quick. 10-A is less than a third of a fifty two card deck yet these cards show up on the board 89% of the time and even in a game with only two people same odds you both have at least a face card.
Stars MTT is very rigged
I've played online for over 9 years now, primarily MTTs. Started on Party and Full Tilt around 2007 and then played on Ultimate Bet where in 2008 I won 84k in their bad beat jackpot game. I've played over 1 million MTT hands on FTP and Stars until the last couple of years when I stopped playing there. Around 2010 I also started playing on iPoker where in my first couple of MTT games I won 5th place in the 200k Sunday event, and got about 8k. Also in FTP and Stars large field events I won 12.5k twice. Those are my achievements, now I can tell you why online is rigged, with 100% certainty.
I've tracked all my MTT hands in PT db, and have examined closely the actual results vs. expected value in all-in confrontations. In MTT all-ins are quite frequent because stack sizes are usually less than 35bb. On FTP the actual results were several standard deviations below the expected results. I therefore stopped playing there around 2010, but I continued playing on Stars. Since I had a large bankroll I didn't mind grinding high-stakes MTT's on Stars and eventually also reached a horrible graph of difference between EV and actual results on all-ins. I've had up to 8-9 bad beats in a row, in middle-late stages of high stakes MTT's where the pot value was well over 1k. I've racked up 50-60k of losses on FTP and Stars before stopping playing there completely. I can tell you that statistically the bias on my results is less than 0.001% possible, and the more I played the more deviation I got from the expected results. I even changed my screen name on Stars because my results were so bad that I thought people were stacking me at random because they knew I would lose. However it didn't make any difference, whether I played well or I played tilted, whether I stacked with a high equity or with low, if I played tight or loose, if I targeted weak players or strong ones, it made NO DIFFERENCE.
Another thing I can tell you is that if you gather stats on succesful players, you will see them winning 70-80% of all-ins all the time, it doesn't matter which hands they choose to shove with. I continue playing on iPoker these days because I love the game and there it's not as obviously rigged as Stars (in fact, the frequency of suckouts and badbeats is much lower). I haven't had any big runs in a while but as I play much lower stakes MTT's nowadays I'm comfortable with the reality that some player accounts are just rigged to win a high percentage of the times, it's fun to watch them win all the time. The large field MTT winners are the same group of regulars, they usually will have anywhere from 50k-100k lifetime profit on iPoker, it's not a lot but I guess it's a nice job for them. However if you watch their play you'll see they don't do anything special and often they play quite badly, but they still win often over large fields due to the bias in the card distribution.

Thank you for the eye opening work you did. It makes no sense that my statistics change so rapidly. I had 60% or so win rate in spin and go and after I won around 450$ it changed somehow. Tilt doesn't make sense. A person cant fall from 60% to 5% win rate all of a sudden. It's just rigged. I think they are monsters playing with peoples lives, hopes and dreams and they should be stopped.

funniest thing is that they always replied to my emails in a couple of hours time but when I asked for my hand history they sent me 2 months history..... I play here at least 3 years if not more.... since I asked them for the FULL history they just don't answer my emails anymore. A long-time PokerStars player here.
I play the playmoney games there just to pass the time, amuse myself seeing the (comically) endless bad beats usually given by the large stacks to the other smaller ones like clockwork, and as a challenge of sorts to try to 'beat the game' there which I 'sorta' can.
It appears you CANNOT win/cash in a tournament unless you are 'picked' to win/cash by the site before(/during?) the tournament and you DON'T make enough mistakes to take yourself out of the tournament before winning/cashing. Some of what other (ex-)players said here about PokerStars' 'behavior' appears to be true, unfortunately.
PokerStars appears to be doing this in order to get these (long time?) losing players to buy play money with REAL CASH from PokerStars and try again -- thus profiting PokerStars in the long run.
On principle, I decided to try to win playmoney there instead and 'move up' in stakes as I am able to.
This task appears to be NOW (ALMOST) IMPOSSIBLE! You can outfox the Random Number Generator there if you know what to look for BUT IF YOU ARE NOT PICKED TO WIN/CASH, YOU ABSOLUTELY WON'T! You will just lose almost all your chips to a smaller stack (avoidable but rather difficult) with a better hand or bad beat then lose your last hand in a bad beat to a larger stack or be 'blinded out' with a losing hand after the loss to the smaller stack. The only alternative appears to be 'two-card holdem' where you just move in pre-flop when you think you have the best hand, get called, then make the chips you win last as long as possible. Even then, you WILL lose 'if it is not your turn' to win that hand. There appears to be truth in what others said about PokerStars' 'behavior' preventing skilled players from winning their fair share because the hands that appear there are not TRULY random but cleverly appear as such in the short run but NOT the long run. Otherwise, the pros would chase off all the 'fish' and PokerStars would have to close.
PokerStars wasn't like this when I first started playing there many years ago.
It's a shame...I really like the mental challenge of holdem poker that I play there but haven't found another site that has such a wonderful looking and wonderful-to-use client program that doesn't treat its players so shamefully like this.

odds aren't what they are supposed to be
The odds seem to be normal unless you win a lot of chips. Then everything goes to shit. First hand after winning 500 mil chips, had pocket A's. Hit four of a kind on the flop. All in, two takers. I came in third. Needing one card for a flush, I drew 618 consecutive cards without hitting a flush. Then followed 12 straight tournaments *(not hands!) without a single winning hand. After that 93 straight all ins where i was ahead and my opponent hit his card on the river. If I play 24 hours a day for the rest of my life, these odds will never even out.

Because PokerStars team have a great software, try to imagine a circle within 20.000 players, players with profit are outside circle. I hate losing, yeah but after that comment, I've lost so many "should have won" hands, and games to hands that weren't even close at times. I'm not going to waste my time except to say, find another sight, one that's not so doctored (if their is such a thing) and stay away from these rip offs.

Hey, I want to tell you my story about pokerstars.
I start to play poker at 2012, i choosed pokerstars, so in this year I win 12k, after what I lost more than half, and stop play, cause there was allways tricky flops bad beats and all other shits.
I came back in the end of
2013, and again - all is okey, i earn 15k, and after cash out again, I lost more than half, same story...
2014 I hawe money problems, I cant play so much, so earnings are minimal, 300..
And in this year, first month of playing gives me 6k earnings, after cash out.. again, allways bad flops, I just feel how they are cheating, how they want me to deposit more, and more.. And again, im there where I've been in 2012, full of debts, credits, etc. I really hate this site, and I hope You can stop this site, they are destroy people lifes... I know this game, I understand there is a lot of luck, but when you played so much hands, you see that all the scam comes on you.. after you win something biigger, after cash out, after you deposit more...

Lost my whole bankroll today, playing omaha, 7 times I flopped a set got the guys in as I knew they have AA or KK overpairs and every time they hit their 2 outers.
Sorry but this does not happen in poker this many times in one session. Of course it happens but come on seriously.

I agree that the site is rigged to the sites & certan players advantages.
I usually play high stakes ($15 - $30) its only at these levels do i experience outcomes, some i think even you would find hard to believe. Im definitely not a sore loose as u play poker at the casino & on PartyPoker & full tilt, i seem to do very well at these but pokerstars just seems to have the most ridiculous things happen.

Spin and Go made 5 one million pots last year but it makes 2 million pots within two days. Can you imagine that? Even though with the spin-and-go for $0.5. They just want to attract people to go there! I used to play $5 Spin and GO. At the beginning of the event, I have lots of 30 or 20 pots which is good. And I won $200. However, in the following days. Almost all pots are $10 (the minimum) and I lost over half of my revenue!

Hi Pokerstars, it's weird how I win in live poker constantly , when I play on your site , I win a certain amount. And then you me receive millions of bad beats in a row till I lose it all. I get people to 20% at the river ALL the time. I can't even win ONE flip but these dudes get there with their 20% ALL the time. It's like you decide when I win and when I lose, whether I play well or not.
