Sometimes, you want something a little more complicated than stone tools and wooden houses. Every now and again, the urge to be something better, something stronger, emerges. What if the path to power was through cybernetic augmentation?
Many sci-fi games have toyed with the idea of augmentation, but it's a theme not often explored in Minecraft mods. At least, not in this level of depth! , a mod for the 1.10 version of Minecraft by , hopes to scratch that very particular itch for cyborg enthusiasts everywhere! While still in a beta stage, it is already showing a lot of promise.
Using a robosurgeon, players can lift augmentations off of robo-zombies around the world, and install them in themselves instead. There are quite a variety of mods to choose from (or as the case currently, find in the wild). Crafting augments from scratch is not yet available, though the author assures that such a feature will be added as the mod progresses. Sweet!
Again, the mod is still very much in a beta phase. However, if you would like to give it a test run (and give the author feedback to improve it), be sure to hit up the , download it for yourself, and give it a go!

A few days past, we took a brief look at&a project which re-creates the
(1666), by a joint effort of some top-notch build teams, and the Museum of London. At the time, no maps were available for the public to see directly, but that has changed!
The project aims to cover the event in detail - over the next 9 months, 3 total maps will be released, each focusing on a different point of the fire. The first map, which is , shows London as it was in 1666, before the fire started. There is a surprising amount of detail in the map, and&history enthusiasts should be able to accurately trace any location in the city accurately from the map alone. In addition, the map will have challenges to overcome and secrets to&uncover, which go over the events preceding the fire. Later maps will also cover the fire as it happens (with an opportunity to try fighting the fire yourself), and the aftermath, with an opportunity to try rebuilding the city directly.
All said, it is an incredibly ambitious project. The first map is pretty amazing on its own, and &Can you discover what led up to the fire?Great Fire 1666 is a collaboration with , Digital producer, game designer , and mapbuilders .&The hashtag #GreatFire1666 will be used to post updates on social media.

Technically, this update covers both 0.15.4 and 0.15.3 as well as the introduction of the recently launched . Good times! This update focuses on the particulars of the game version, as MCPE/Win10 have a number of features lacking in other versions.&This doesn't even scratch the surface of all the bugs mercilessly squashed, most of which are listed below:

Bone meal and spawn eggs now consumed in Survival mode.
B button to quit from main menu works on Win 10 edition now.
Fixed a crash when creating or entering a new world.
Fixed a crash when traveling the world with render distance set to maximum.
Worlds with UTF-8 symbols in their name are now displayed in the Play tab for Win 10.
Fixed some issues with players creating new realms.
Players can now scroll through the list of friends in the Add Realm window using the controller.
Inventory can now be opened when a player mounts a pig or horse/donkey/mule.
Zombies spawn with correct textures in desert biomes.
Nether brick fence fixed- attaches to cobblestone walls.
Fixed issue with friends list being cleared on signing out.
Fall damage for horses fixed.
Pressing X on the intro page signs the user out.
Removed phantom image of the currently equipped block when toggling a daylight sensor.
Fixed item duplication on fences bug.
Fixed some bugs with pistons (crashing, overwriting, taking power from wrong sources, syncing issues).
Observer block placement fixed.
Glass and leaf blocks no longer going invisible when placed next to carpet, pressure plates and accumulated snow.
Fully grown crops now pop out of farmland when cut-off from light.
Fixed position of zombie jockeys.
Fixed crash when shooting an arrow from a dispenser at a TNT minecart.
Fixed assorted issues causing games to crash.
Also of note:&there is a possible crash when players&set the&draw distance to maximum on the 32-bit Win 10 edition, if they&have a discrete (that is, a non-integrated) graphics card.&The issue is already being examined, and we can expect fixes in the near future!
Many of the skin packs for MCPE/Win10 have been themed around existing franchises, or taken what could be called a "universal appeal" approach, with themes that generally resonate with everyone. This pack is not such a thing - it's a pack just for the villains at heart among us!
Appropriately named The Villain Pack ($1.99 USD), this bundle features a number of skins for the arch-nemesis in all of us. As before, anyone with the Compete Adventure Pack will have access to Episode 7, with an option to pre-order Episode 8 in the future. If you do not already own Story Mode, there are smaller, less expensive packages with the first Episode only, which will give potential newcomers a good idea of what to expect in later installments.

While fairly simple-seeming at first, that doesn't mean it isn't a very tricky course to complete. 8 maps total comprise this course, and it will take all of your skill&to master this deceptively easy-seeming course. To be fair, the fire was back in 1666. Always with the tiny details...
In the video above, we get a bit of a preview on a joint project with build team Blockworks, Dragnoz, and the Museum of London, which features the great fire of London, and is appropriately titled, "The Great Fire of London". The map shown is pre-fire, and is a pretty fair representation of the city at the time. It is expected that there will be a post-fire model as well, and perhaps one mid-burn, though this isn't currently known for certain.
Perhaps more interesting than the map itself is all the goodies expected to come with it - hidden around the maps will be custom sound files, which paint a picture of the circumstances which led up to the fire, and a bit of history around the event as well. Pretty crazy!
The map is expected to become available next week, on Friday, July 29th.
