[摘要]在英语写作中啊，有5个“weak words”，它们会使你的文章显得没有力度，失去表现力。很多同学写作文都会用到这5个词，以后记得一定要避免。终于找到作文不好的原因了吧！在()写作中啊，有5个“weak words”，它们会使你的文章显得没有力度，失去表现力。下面小E就给大家说道说道这5个词以及如何避免使用。但是！这些不就是小E当年写作文时必用的词嘛，终于知道为什么成绩不好了默默去厕所哭会儿。Really理由：表意模糊，很多人都觉得这个词可以表示强调，但是真的不是很有力的表达哦。做法：即使你非常非常想用这个词也要尽量克制。举栗子：The swimmer reallyperformed admirably.这个游泳者真让人敬佩。The swimmer performed admirably.这个游泳者真让人敬佩。Things / Stuff理由：不具体，这两个词会使读者无法真正理解作者要表达的意思。做法：更明确地阐述文章表达的意义举栗子：The article said a lot of thingsand stuff.这篇文章讲了很多东西。（所以，到底讲了啥呢……）The article discussed the principles of interactive design.这篇文章讲了交互设计的原则。I feel / I think / I believe理由：缺乏自信这几个短语会让句子的重点从客观事实转移到作者本身看法，显得作者不太确定自己所说的，会降低表达的说服力。做法：尽量避免使用举栗子：I believethe researcher has a great point here.我认为研究者讲了一个很棒的观点。The researcher has a great point here.研究者讲了一个很棒的观点。Was / Is / Are / Am理由：和被动语态相比，主动语态更能传达清楚明确的信息。做法：换成主动语态表达*需要注意的是，如果是科学性比较强的文章，被动语态会比主动语态有优势。举栗子：The letter wasmailed by Sally.这封信是Sally寄走的。Sally mailed the letter.Sally寄走了这封信。Very理由：在英语中，这个词被当作是最“没用”的一个词，它不能够传达足够的信息。做法：很多英语初学者在口语和写作中都不知道要如何体面地表达“非常……”的意思，只会重复“very”一词，“very beautiful”，“very great”，“very useful”……说得多了，写得多了，别说别人觉得无趣，自己都嫌烦。其实，就如中文里有近义词一样，英文中同一个意思也有好几个词可以表达。下面这张图中列举了45个替换方法，让你摆脱“very + 简单形容词”表达的方法，从此英语更加“高大上”。
