But at the height of the lower edge of the heater a considerable jump was discovered in the otherwise continuous vertical air-temperature profile. This temperature jump coincided with the level of the heater in no matter what position, or at What height, a heater of any capacity was set.

这个一点都不难！！ 我当时在一个计算室内采暖负荷的文献中看到过相关表达，但是想不起来在哪个文献了，你可以找相关的文献看看，这个应该不是独创的，也应该是咱们国内暖通界的前辈引用国外标准是翻译过来的，你再搜搜。 这是国家标准中的用语，当然算术语了，只是翻译上遇到困难 你能否搜索英文的关于“冬季室外设计温度“的文献，或许里面会有设计标准的描述。
