Windows 10 Preview Build 10576 for PC Available for Download
UPDATED on Oct 29, 2015: Release of Windows 10 Insider Preview build 10576 for PC.
If you are using
Insider Preview (previously known as Technical Preview) in your computer, here is a good news for you.
Microsoft has
a new update Build 10576 of Windows 10 to public which comes with many bug fixes and improvements. This is the fifth post-RTM build of Windows 10 released by Microsoft and similar to previous builds, this new build also comes via "TH2" (ThresHold2) development branch.
WHAT'S NEW:
Improvements to
web browser including media casting to any Miracast or DLNA enabled device
Ability to use "Ask Cortana" feature while reading a PDF file in Microsoft Edge web browser
Improvements to Xbox beta app
Improvements to nested virtualization functionality in Hyper-V
Improvements to Settings app

WHAT'S FIXED:
[Fixed] Xbox app was consuming gigabytes of memory on PC if you had any Win32 game (non-Windows Store game) installed on your PC that was identified as game or added by you in the Xbox app.
Several fixes for localization text UI in various languages.
The search box should now work in this build if you are in a locale where Cortana is not available.
KNOWN ISSUES:
To continue receiving missed call notifications and send texts from Cortana, you will need to be on this build and higher.
When notifications pop up from Action Center, any audio playing (like music from Groove or videos from the Movies & TV app) gets reduced by 75% for a period of time.
After upgrading to this build, all your Skype messages and contacts are gone in the Messaging app. The workaround for this is as following:
Press WIN+R keys together to open RUN dialog box, type appdata and press Enter. Now go to following folder: Local\Packages\Microsoft.Messaging_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache
Now delete or rename the "PrivateTransportId" file.
Restart the Messaging app.
Small form-factor devices, like the Dell Venue 8 Pro, that boot with rotation or virtual mode screen size set larger than the physical screen size will experience a blue screen on upgrade and will roll back to the previous build.
After upgrading to this build, the power button on your Surface Pro 3 may no longer put your Surface Pro 3 to sleep and instead shut down.
WebM and VP9 have been temporarily removed from builds. Expect VP9 to return soon in a future build.
HOW TO INSTALL:
The new build is available for download via Windows Update, so it'll be automatically downloaded and installed in all computers running Windows 10 Insider Preview soon.
If you want to manually download and install the new build ASAP, you can do this using following simple steps:
1. Open Settings app from .
2. Click on Update and security icon.
3. Once you open Windows Update section, it'll automatically start checking for new builds. Otherwise you can click on "Check for updates" button.
4. Click on "Download now" button to start downloading the new update build of Windows 10.
After downloading the build, your computer will automatically restart to install the new update.
The download size will be around 2 or 3 GB depending upon the computer architecture (32-bit or 64-bit) and system language.
