on the discussion on the evolution of 3PL (“Third-Party Logistics Providers”)
and its role as an “Orchestrator”, the present study investigates
logistics finance in the context of supply chain. The research results suggest
that the role of 3PL“Orchestrator”, which based on
transaction cost theory, resource-based review and network theory, can be used
to explain its application in the supply chain oriented logistics finance. In
order to illustrate the role of 3PL as an“Orchestrator”in logistics finances adequately, the study exemplifies it with three
forms, i.e. logistics finance applied to industrial supply chain, consumer
supply chain, and logistics bank. Given that the research on 3PL “Orchestrator”is under-developed in the logistics and supply chain community,the
present study has however extended the discussion to the logistics finance
setting. The study has both theoretical and practical implications. From a
theoretical perspective, the study contributes more to the theory development
of 3PL.There is no doubt that logistics finance has offered 3PL a new arena,
which propels the evolution of 3PL.But yet so far there is no systematical explanation
for this phenomenon theoretically. From a practical perspective, the study
suggests that,in order to explore the value creation and innovative potential
of logistics finance,3PL should play the role of&“Orchestrator”substantially.

Providers，简称“3PL”）在成长的同时也正面临着巨大的挑战：依靠传统物流运作方式所获取的利润已经越来越少，利润率也变得越来越低。如何在新的市场竞争环境下，最大化3PL的价值增长潜力，已成为物流与供应链管理实践界以及学术界所关注的重要议题。物流金融的出现，无疑为3PL提供了一个新的发展方向。作为一种集物流与金融共同创新的集成式新型服务，物流金融的实施不仅有效地解决了中小企业融资问题，同时，3PL也从这一新型服务中收获增值的机会，获取了一个新的利润增长空间。物流金融被认为是对传统的“第三方物流”服务理念的又一次革命。但从目前来看，大多数物流金融服务以孤立的视角看待企业的融资需求，并没有考虑到融资企业与其所在的供应链之间的动态关系，金融融资机构和融资企业之间是典型的“一对一”关系。3PL除了提供传统的物流服务如仓储保管，以及有限的金融附加值活动外如受金融机构委托提供质押物评估，并未有更大作为。这种状况不仅没有充分发挥3PL的价值创造作用，同时也影响到物流金融服务创新的价值潜力的全面开发。基于此，笔者从3PL的“Orchestrator”角色入手，对基于供应链导向的物流金融服务做一探讨。在接下来的部分，笔者首先就3PL的“Orchestrator”角色及其理论基础进行了讨论。从这一理论基点出发，笔者对物流金融服务中的3PL角色进行了阐述，并就三种具体形式下的3PL的“Orchestrator”角色进行了分析。在此基础上，笔者对本研究所具有的理论与实践启示意义，以及今后的研究方向进行了说明。一、3PL的“Orchestrator”角色及其理论基础关于3PL的“Orchestrator”角色问题。根据（朗文）当代高级辞典，“Orchestrate”是指把“乐曲”编成管弦乐曲。但辞典同时也注明了其另一层含义：和谐地安排以及精心策划。“Orchestration”取自“Orchestrate”的名词形式，而“Orchestrator”则可理解为是和谐地安排以及精心策划的主体（组织或个人）。“Orchestration”以及“Orchestrator”目前在供应链管理文献中受到了越来越多的关注（Schweitzer 2005[1];Fung
et al. 2009[2]）。Christopher（2005）[3]认为“Orchestration”可以被定义为管理、协调以及关注价值创造的网络的活动。Fung et al.(2009)[2]认为，在今天的全球环境下，“Orchestration”对建立具有竞争力的供应链来说是必不可少的。Bitran et
al.（2006）[4]认为一个成功的供应链是需要有一个能够提供所需服务并对网络起到领导以及控制作用的“Orchestrator”。3PL被认为在供应链中扮演了“Orchestrator”这一角色（Stubbs, 2004）[5]。Langley和他的团队自1996年起开展对3PL以及其用户的调研活动。活动范围初始于美国，现已波及到世界。在对3PL长达近二十年的跟踪调查中，Langley发现3PL已从提供单一的、从事运作层面的服务，逐步演进到一个能够提供全方位的、更具战略层面的供应链服务的“Orchestrator”。他们认为，具有“Orchestrator”角色的3PL不但与供应链的各方成员一起发展了供应链的协调战略，同时还起到了管理供应链的价值创造活动。并且，在3PL的演进过程中，3PL对客户的供应链实施了更多的控制以及承担了更多的责任（Capgemini Consulting，2009)[6]&。这一发现与Christopher（2005）[3]的观察取得了一致。Zacharia et al. (2011)[7]&也认为3PL已经从物流服务的供应商演进到供应链的“Orchestrator”。从3PL的用户来说，为了减少成本，提供核心竞争力，当3PL能够在其所在的行业中提供特殊的技术，用户们乐意将更多的活动委托给3PL，并与3PL一起分享信息以及风险。3PL的“Orchestrator”角色的理论基础。Zacharia et al. 在安装vCenter Server的时候，vCenter Orchestrator已经随着vCenter Server安装在系统上，在使用之前，需要对它进行配置。
配置vCenterOrchestrator
配置过程主要有如下几步：
1.启动vCenter Orchestrator Configuration服务
2.配置vCenter Orchestrator 网络连接
3.创建一个LDAP 服务器，本环境使用活动目录
4.配置后台数据库，本环境使用Sql2008R2
5.为vCenter Orchestrator创建SSL证书
6.输入vCenter Server的许可证
7.配置缺省插件
1. 启动vCenter Orchestrator Configuration服务
缺省该服务启动状态为手动，修改为自动，并启动它。
sc config vCOConfiguration start= auto
sc start vCOConfiguration
服务启动之后，通过http://vcenter Server的IP:8282来访问，缺省的用户名及密码是vmware/vmware
红色部分提示，配置未完成，配置完成之后，状态将改为绿色
2. 配置vCenter Orchestrator 网络连接
点击上图的Network，在右侧的IP Address栏，选择vCenter Orchestrator使用的IP，然后点击Apply Changes。可以看到，状态变绿。
3. 配置LDAP
在右侧LDAP Client选择Active Directory，
Primary LDAP Host输入域控的FQDN,
Root文本框里面输入活动目录的root DN，形如DC=xyz,DC=com，
在Username文本框，输入用户名，该用户名为Orchestrator登录活动目录的凭据，用户名的格式要么是DN 格式 (cn=username,cn=Users,dc=domain,dc=com) 要么是UPN格式 (),此处是
User Lookup Base 文本框，提供Orchestrator用来搜索用户帐户的base DN，可配置成与root DN一致，DC=xyz,DC=com
Group Lookup Base 文本框,可配置成与root DN一致，DC=xyz,DC=com
vCO Admin Group文本框，指定具有vCenter Orchestrator管理员权限的DN，可以使用域管理员组cn=Administrators,cn=Builtin,dc=domain,dc=com，本实验指定CN=vmadmin,OU=vmwareOU,DC=xyz,DC=com，将域管理员及xyz\vcadmin用户添加到该组,
点击Apply Changes，然后状态变为绿色。
用ldap方式访问AD域的的错误一般会如下格式：

4. 配置后台数据库
先在Sql2008R2 服务器上新建一空的数据库vcodb,Db_owner为xyz\vcadmin
点击Database，选择SqlServer
信息输入完成之后，点Apply Changes，然后点上方的Install the database
