By Edward ChaykovskyCenturyLink Center, Omaha - In a battle of identical professional records, WBO lightweight champion Terence Crawford (23-0, 16KOs) had too much firepower for Olympic gold medal winner Yuriorkis Gamboa (23-1, 16KOs), as a crowd of over 10,000 cheered Crawford on. Gamboa was dropped four time in the contest, including two big knockdowns in the ninth, which forced the referee to wave things off. &I think it was a good fight. We were two warriors who were fighting in the ring and he won. The referee made a decision that I was [unable to go on]. We will respect the decision of the referee, but I could have continued,& Gamboa said.

I think he could've continued but he would've gotten KO'd quickly after I believe, Crawford turn that fight around with the first knockdown. Gamboa had him hurt and we were looking at a fight that was even but with the knocked down I would've had Crawford ahead by a point.

Congrats.to Crawford! This defeat should make yorkis a better fighter I believe he will definitely learn from it and comeback stronger.

I think he never recup from the first knock down, what amaze me is that he was able to hurt a much bigger man while he was himself in queer street, come down to 126-30 and forget about 135+
