Zheng Dong is a doctoral candidate of
at Indiana University Bloomington. His research interests include Incentive-aligned security design, web security, data mining and home-based computing. At IU, he is working with
Zheng's current research project focuses on automated detection of web
context and access control. The goal of the project is to build a reliable security indicator to help end users make an informed decision on the trustworthiness of online resources. Designed machine-learning classification models to detect rogue public key certificates.
Implemented the rogue certificate detection module to be executed regularly.
Captured real-world rogue certificates in several CA compromise events.

Designed a generic application for the Lab of Things (LoT) research framework that covers essential functionalities the framework offers.
Implemented a generic API of LoT to enable developers to create simple applications by following only a couple of steps.
Created a TouchDevelop library so anyone can create their LoT application quickly and easily on their mobile devices.
Wrote a Kinect driver for LoT to support capturing color images, depth images, audio and skeleton information from the sensor.
