我大一开始时，也是追求速成，追求多。 听人家说《新概念英语》好，我就买了4册，早上开始背诵，晚上训练听写。坚持了1月多，又听说《走遍美国》这个教学片挺好，然后我又放弃了背诵《新概念》而开始下载《走遍美国》，的确有效果。但也是坚持了2月左右，又听一个英语专家说《洋话连篇》是外国人编辑的，更加地道，我又开始学习《洋话连篇》----

第一现场：四六级机考不易估分　　12月21日上午11点5分，在首都师范大学参加四级机考的考生们走出了考场。记者在现场进行了随机采访，受访者中大部分人反映机考与传统笔考差异很大，而且因听力题加大、跟读不适应，以及答案不能修改等问题，机考较笔试不容易估分。　　键盘敲不上来的，用笔记录更方便　　和传统笔考不同的是，机考要求考生提前一个小时入场，这样让考生有充分的时间了解机考的规则。　　在机考现场，记者看到很多学生除了携带准考证，也拿着笔。数学系的小王告诉记者：&有时候跟着电脑做听力题，不是马上就能用键盘敲出来，这时候，用笔记录更方便。&　　谈到正式机考前的模拟考试，生物系的小张说：&模拟考试的确为正式考试积累了经验，比如说熟悉视频播放软件等。&有的考生则反映正式机考的难度略低于模拟考试。　　据考生介绍，机考的每部分内容都有时间限定，一部分结束后，另一部分才开始。因此，考生做过的题点了&确定&，就不能倒回来修改了。所以，在这种情况下，不太可能出现提前&交卷&的情况。　　机考不容易估分　　由于听力在机考中占了很大比例，从这点上说，改革后的四六级机考更注重对学生语言交流能力的考查。　　机考中有&跟读&的考试内容，要求考生对着麦克风跟着电脑里播放的句子朗读。李同学告诉记者：&在检查机子时，我注意到，对着麦克风发声，声音大才能录得清楚。但是如果每个人都大声朗读，会对其他同学造成影响。&　　难度大是一些考生的感受。有一个女同学在走出考场时显得垂头丧气，用手背擦脸上的泪水。有的考生认为：&机考有点类似托福的水平考试，听力内容难度大，用的都是英文广播材料。&　　记者观察，大部分走出考场的考生表情兴奋的不多，很多人表示无法对自己考试结果估分，心中一点底都没有。　　但也有的考生对机考比较&适应&，认为区别不大。魏同学说：&难度题对于英语水平高的同学来说照样轻松，主要还是看考生自身的英语水平。&　　如何备考四六级机考还有待探索　　谈到机考备考的问题，小玮说：&传统的四六级考试，自己可以购买辅导书，多做历年真题和模拟试题，加强练习以取得高分。而对于机考，需要在考前有针对性地加强辅助练习，我也没有个人电脑，练习操作不方便。&　　四级机考到现在已经过去几天了，有些大学生认为：&评价机考成功与否还为时过早，应该等成绩出来，把通过率作为一个衡量标准。&　　目前，武汉某高校已高调宣布，对四六级通过率较高的班级和高分个人给予相应的物质奖励。湖北大学曾对新生做的调查显示，学生们在&应付考试&和&提高能力&之间，都选了&提高能力&，而且要求老师&有创新和开拓能力&。可以肯定的是，无论是考生还是学校都对四六级机考抱以期待。　　英语老师：机考更有助于考出真实水平　　四六级机考加大了听力、写作的比例，徐老师认为这样很好，&因为写作比较能反映学生的英语水平。此外，将听力和写作进行有机结合，更有助于学生考出真实的水平。四六级考试中考生的薄弱环节就是听力部分，尤其是新闻的听力，现在机考将听力内容换为英文广播材料，难度更大。&　　&以前英语等级考试备考要求考生多做题，而英语教学则注重学生在上课中基础知识的培养，两者之间存在着冲突。&徐老师认为，&机考对备考提出了特殊要求，将推动学生考试和英语教学之间形成良性结合。&　　记者手记　　四六级机考没有太多经验可循，对于大部分考生来说，还需要有时间适应。积极的一面是，机考体现了对听说能力的重视，高校的教学也会紧跟形势进行改革，&听力成为说、读、写、译的基础&。　　可以看到,机考已为大学生指出了一个明确的方向，那就是更多地注重听说，重视应用，这可以引导英语学习更加适应择业的需要，更加适应社会的需要。
