疑问主要有四大句型，一般疑问句、选择疑问句、特殊疑问句和反意疑问句。反意疑问句是高考英语的语法项目之一。
祈使句用于表达命令、请求、劝告、警告、禁止等的句子叫做祈使句，祈使句最常用于表达命令，因此在学校文法中也常称为命令句。
感叹句有多种表现形式，有时一个单词、短语或一个词组也可成为感叹句。意思：表示喜怒哀乐等强烈情感的句子。
为了强调、突出等语的目的而颠倒原有语序的句式叫做倒装句。在倒装句中，颠倒了的成分可以恢复原位而句意基本不变，句法成分不变。
强调句是一种修辞，是人们为了表达自己的意愿或情感而使用的一种形式。通过各种方式对句子中的某个部分进行强调，从而起到修辞的作用。
按照语法的分析，句子应该具备的成分，有时出于修辞上的需要，在句中并不出现，这种句子叫做省略句这种语法现象称为&省略&。
存在句在英语中是用来表示人或事物的存在、出现等意义，大都是用于描述性文章中。存在句可以从结构，句型来分析，可以有多种时态形式。
