纤维增强耐火浇注料系指在耐火浇注料中掺加纤维后能提高强度的耐火浇注料。在耐火可塑料中掺加纤维增强，则称为纤维增强耐火可塑料。纤维的种类有：普通钢纤维、耐热（不锈）钢纤维、碳纤维、氧化铝纤维、硅酸铝质纤维和有机纤维等。从增强和耐火的角度看，目前普通采用耐热钢纤维和氧化铝纤维，配制高强耐火浇注料。蒲绒钢纤维不耐火，碳纤维昂贵，因此较少使用。有机纤维一般作致密高强耐火浇注料的防爆剂，也有应用。纤维增强耐火浇注料的品种，依据纤维的种类，可分为钢纤维增强耐火浇注料和氧化铝纤维增强耐火浇注料，其特点是强度高、韧性好、抗热震性强和抗剥落性好，并在热处理炉、加热炉、均热炉、中间包挡渣堰、炉外精炼和催化裂化装置等窑炉及热工设备的关键部位上，得到了应用，获得了良好的技术经济效果。 Fiber-reinforced refractories are the refractory castings that can increase the strength of the refractory pouring material.
