MUrgency (pronounced as em - urgency ) is a full suite of emergency response, safety, security and communication services.
6.25 billion people in the developing world today lack access to any kind of reliable emergency response. 0.75 billion people in the developed world who have emergency response find it increasingly expensive and delayed. More people die from lack of timely care than from AIDS, Malaria and TB combined.
MUrgency - UN RESEAU GLOBAL DE REPONSE D'URGENCE (One Global Emergency Response Network) is using the power of mobile technology and networks to create one seamless global emergency response network that will democratize emergency response. Our mission is to make emergency response available to anyone, anytime, anywhere — with just one tap on a mobile phone.
MUrgency is a cloud platform and mobile application which connects people who need emergency response with their trusted network, other users of the app and / or credentialed medical, safety, rescue and assistance professionals as the situation requires and the individual in emergency requests. MUrgency will save lives, provide support and render assistance as required in an emergency.
MUrgency is being launched with membership in BCtA @ UNDP (Business Call to Action at the United Nations Development Program), in academic partnership with Stanford ChangeLabs, Harvard Asia Center and MIT Global Health, and as an initiative of the World Economic Forum’s Forum of Young Global Leaders Community.
At MUrgency, our core philosophy is that emergency response should be readily available to all when needed. We are guided by the singular vision of making emergency response available to anyone, anytime, anywhere. We do this by connecting people and technology to deliver a comprehensive, cutting-edge solution using our network of MUrgency Responders and your network of Trusted MUrgency Contacts to tackle any emergency you may face.
The MUrgency Network is a decentralized system that enables simple, efficient and reliable emergency response for anyone, anytime, anywhere. MUrgency is registering doctors, EMTs, paramedics, nurses, nurse practitioners, BLS-trained professionals, CPR-trained personnel, ER, EMS, urgent-care clinics, and home-health-care workers on the Responder (Supply Side) of the MUrgency Network.
The goal is to build the largest and fastest emergency response network across the world. With a single tap on your smartphone, your location and emergency are shared. Your Trusted Contacts are alerted and MUrgency Responders respond immediately.
