Powering into 2015, French trio Dirtyphonics have just announced the release of their EP, Write Your Future. Linking up with the likes of 12th Planet, Julie Hardy and Trinidad Jame$, Dirtyphonics ups the ante once again, showcasing their forward-pushing, bass-heavy sound. This very sound is what first shot them into the spotlight, shattering expectations with their fusion of heavy metal, drum & bass and electro sounds. JES has been synonymous with A-list DJ collaborations for as long as there has been an A-list for DJ’s. ”Two Souls” is her first truly solo release for sometime and puts an alluring musical spin on the new year.
“Two Souls” is a true music festival anthem. JES drew her inspiration for the song from every near miss and chance meeting that embodies the festival experience. “I wanted to write something that encapsulates the feeling of being together but alone,” said JES. “You’re in this place with thousands of other people but you feel somehow outside it all. You know that you can’t be the only one that feels that way. I wanted to write something for those people, a song for the outsiders.”
Climbing from a sincere whisper to a euphoric scream “Two Souls” carries you on an unforgettable journey to everywhere that matters most. Soothing breakdowns perfectly compliment JES’ angelic vocal performance and grow through generous layers of uplifting synths into a massive melodic downpour. “Two Souls” will cross divides and rebuild bridges. This is the anthem for the estranged that will help them find their way home.
“Two Souls” includes an irresistible radio edit and a hypnotic extended mix that will make its presence felt in both arenas. If this is any indication of whats to come it looks like 2015 is going to be a great year for JES. The single is set for release on iTunes (Radio Edit) & Beatport (Extended Mix) on Jan 12th, 2015 on Magik Muzik.

“We believe Audien is an artist who represents the future of EDM,” TAO Group partner Jason Strauss remarks on the young artist hailing from Mystic, Connecticut. Well if Audien is the future of EDM, the future is looking pretty bright.
Nate Rathbun – better known by his alias Audien – is on something of a hot streak as he closes the year with big news upon bigger news. On the heels of receiving a Grammy nomination for his remix of Bastille’s “Pompeii,” the 22 year old producer just announced his signing to legendary label Astralworks. Joining the roster of heavyweights such as Swedish House Mafia, Fatboy Slim, Duke Dumont, and Eric Prydz, Audien’s partnership with the imprint will be a huge stepping stone for his already-thriving career. Glenn Mendlinger, Astralwerks’s General Manager says:
“We are truly honored to have Audien join the roster at Astralwerks.
In a short amount of time Nate has crafted a sound that is unique to him – his outstanding talent and skill as a musician and producer is matched by his dynamic personality and boundless energy. It’s very exciting to have home grown talent of this caliber coming right from our backyard in Mystic, Connecticut.”
Strauss and Menglinger are among the many to recognize Audien’s distinct talent. A veteran of major worldwide festivals like Ultra, EDC, and Tomorrowland, Audien just completed his debut headlining tour, AUDaCITY, which included sold out shows in New York, LA, and San Francisco. Strauss and the TAO Group have just announced that Audien is set to join Marquee Nightclub and Dayclub in Las Vegas as an exclusive resident for the forthcoming year.
Be sure to keep an eye on this budding artist as he powers into 2015.
Craving those Miami Music Week vibes? Vicetone may have just the remedy.
Out now on Ultra Music, the club edit of their newest production “United We Dance” is a certified anthem that will bring you right back to the mayhem of Miami March madness. Featured in the official Ultra Music Festival aftermovie, the score provides the perfect musical backdrop to summarize the spirit of the festival.
“It has been great working with the video director, Charly Friedrichs on this project. He reached out to us about half a year ago, because he wanted to try something totally different than last year’s aftermovie, and get an original score composed, together with a dance track, all for the Ultra aftermovie.” Vicetone says.
The vibrant, emotional record shows both the versatility and the depth of Vicetone as a production pair. Coupled with Friedrich’s vision, the mix of sound and visuals will allow fans to relive the magic of the festival over and over again.

With a stellar track record of discovering new talent, Tiesto has a knack for launching young, talented producers into the musical spotlight. His latest protege comes in the form of Dutch rising star MOTi, who has had a red-hot year already coming into stardome.
With smashes under his belt like “Zeus” and “Virus” – his collaboration with Martin Garrix – MOTi has already cemented his role as a high-energy producer. Further displaying his versatility, the young gun is back this month with an output of a different breed. “Lion (In My Head)” showcases an airy, melodic side to the young producer, whose newest track will be out on Tiesto’s imprint on November 17th.

On a final Sunday of a New York Summer, Governor’s Island saw sunny skies, good vibes, and an unrivaled day of musical mayhem.
The iconic waterfront venue has become a staple in the New York City circuit, playing host to some of the biggest names in dance music all season long. Returning to the northeast after last leaving their mark on Madison Square Garden, New World Punx touched down on the sandy shores to close out the summer in an epic fashion.
Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz have individually left their mark on the trance world for over a decade. Joining forces for back-to-back sets over the years, the two casually knocked around ideas of a larger collaboration. And what started as a daydream at a barbecue in Ibiza soon became every trance fans’ reality.
Taking elements from each of their own unique styles, New World Punx have become known for their big room, trance-filled sound wrapped up with an electro flair. This flair is just what rocked Governor’s Island this past Sunday.
Heating things up on an already-warm September day, Jacob van Hage opened up Governor’s main stage and set the tone for the night to come. Behind the backdrop of the New York City skyline, the Dutchman brought a surge of energy over the island. Dropping big room hits like his own “Raid” and “Crank,” van Hage paid homage to Ferry’s Flashover imprint and set the bar high for the evening to come. An additional nod to the label boss, his remix of Ferry’s “Festival Crash” set the incoming crowd into a high-energy frenzy. Fans danced their way into the venue just as
the night was officially on its way.
Up next was Colombian Coldharbour prodigy Khomha. The Medellian-born artist has been taken under Markus Schulz’s wing as an integral part of his label, boasting a complex trance sound to fans around the world. Khomha veered on the more electro side of the spectrum on this day, keeping in line with the energy of the night while simultaneously showcasing his trance-rooted melodic edge. His own track “Hydra” moved the crowd with its pristine melody, and the “Grindhouse” remix – his collaboration with New World Punx – showcased the progressive electro sound the two have mastered.
Always a crowd-rocker, his own “Eat Sleep Dusk Riddles” mashup sent fans into an uproar as his set drew to a close, and soon the headliners of the night took the stage.
Known for their boundless energy, Markus and Ferry have an indescribable presence on stage. Their relationship far surpasses that of a regular DJ the two have distinct, personable personalities that come to light when they play. From the moment they took the decks, their energy was palpable. Opening up with their new track “Torque,” they showcased the latest and greatest from their studio team. From there they pulled all the stops, rocking the crowd with mashup favorites like “Mammoth Forever” and “Rampage Dream.” There was a considerable amount of material from both the artists’ imprints, including “Remember This,” “Safe and Sound,” and “Loops and Tings” from the Schulz camp. The crowd was thick but not overwhelming, and considerably smaller than most shows at Governor’s Island. New World Punx rocked the stage for a full three hours, taking their trance warriors on a hard-hitting, high-energy journey. It was the perfect way to close out the season, and set trance fans up for the next time the duo takes to New York City.

Tyler Sherritt, New York-based producer, singer and songwriter, is back to push boundaries with his recent rework of Hans Zimmer’s “Time.” A ambient, profound piece in its original form, the composer’s masterpiece is a score from the motion picture Inception. Inspired by the emotions the score invoked, Sherritt set out to explore fusing elements of orchestral and electronic music, proving with his rework that he’s as versatile an artist as he is creative.
The result is a beautiful, melodic, progressive piece that defies musical limitations as we know them today. “With much of today’s dance music being about instant gratification and ‘the drop,’ I decided to take a step away from that,” Sherritt explains. “This remix is still about evoking those emotions from the original composer, and is meant to be a journey about how music today has no boundaries.”
In anticipation of his debut at TomorrowWorld this year, Sherritt’s rework is particularly appropriate as Zimmer recently scored the “Hymn” as the festival’s anthem. Moreover, he has released Time as a free download for all to enjoy. .
