Timber Bridge Partnership
The NSW Government& invested $60 million in a& Timber Bridge Partnership, to
upgrade council managed timber bridges on Regional Roads, on a 50:50 cost
sharing basis.& The program began in 2006 and concluded in June 2011.Under the partnership 172 replacement bridges have been provided across 57
council areas (by June 2011).Many of these bridges have also been widened from one lane to two lanes and
placed on improved road alignments, to remove dangerous curves on the old
approaches.Bridges provide essential links for rural and regional NSW and this program
has helped to keep communities connected by providing safe and reliable access
for the basic activities associated with getting freight to markets and children
to school.The Timber Bridge Partnership has provided a boost for rural economies,
improved safety for road users and reduced future maintenance costs for

Roads and Maritime Services best practices in timber bridge rehabilitation and
maintenance. It also consolidates Roads and Maritime Services timber bridge
related policies into a single document. The manual outlines current field
practices and integrates both design and field construction considerations.The manual comprises eight sections, encompassing the maintenance and
rehabilitation of all timber bridge types including trusses, beam/girder spans,
stress laminated bridges, concrete overlays, timber-concrete composites and
includes timber substructures.In the event of any inconsistency between the manual and Roads and Maritime
Services specifications, the latter shall take precedence. For clarification of

I’ve worked in the building and construction industry for more than 35 years, and I can’t express how thrilling it is to be involved in an industry full of dedication, innovation, and the desire to improve the impacts that we have on our world. We don’t want to just build structures to add to the world anymore. We want to make valued additions to the built environment by contributing buildings built with sustainable materials and that adhere to quality building standards.
Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) allows us to do just that. It is a popular engineered wood product that is regarded by many as a “game-changer” since it provides an innovative alternative to traditional building materials such as masonry, steel, and concrete. &
CLT is comprised of several layers of kiln-dried lumber boards that are stacked in alternating directions, bonded with non-VOC and formaldehyde-free adhesives, and pressed to form a solid, straight, rectangular panel. CLT panels typically consist of an odd number of layers (usually, three to seven or more) – this cross lamination provides dimensional stability, strength and rigidity.
The applications for CLT are plentiful, and it has the potential to serve a variety of markets and industries.&Architects and engineers can use CLT for an entire building, as both the lateral and vertical load resisting system, or for select elements such as the roof, floors or walls. As a structural panel element, CLT is also used as a superior industrial matting, bridging and retaining wall product that replaces heavy timbers, steel, and concrete.
CLT panels form a robust, structurally strong building system that outperforms anything currently available in the United States. They have a structural performance similar to precast concrete wall panels, but are lighter, thinner and create a significantly lower environmental footprint than other traditional building materials. Also, CLT panels save time and money due to faster construction times, and manufactured for specific end-use applications, which results in little-to-no job site waste.
When considered over a building’s lifetime – from harvest of raw materials through manufacturing, transportation, installation, use, maintenance and disposal or recycling – wood performs better than concrete and steel, and is a more ideal material when considering embodied energy, pollution, carbon footprint and global warming potential.
The combination of structural and sustainability benefits make CLT an obvious material choice in today’s building industry, and this exciting engineered wood product affords many opportunities to develop a better-built world.

THE SELECTED PROJECTS
This boldly designed house was planned on a extremely large steep slope which required pilot-driving.
The extension to the existing house is another building erected in Italy and it is located at the end of a very narrow street.
The house structure consists of CLT panels and materials of the highest quality including wood fibre panels insulation.

(acronym in the English language: Contemporary Building Design) consists of&a group of researchers, statikov&and&constructorsthat are highly specialized in the design and construction of wooden buildings with an emphasis on providing their seismic resistance. As&researchers,&we participate in&the development of new technologies&, both in the construction and wooden projektantskem in uvajajmo new knowledge in the field everyday construction practices. In this respect, the company is active in the promotion of sustainable CBD and ecological construction with an emphasis on increasing the comfort, the architectural expression, lifestyle choices and social values which should prevail in the postmodern society of the future.
Modern residential architecture and culture are taking ecological awareness and respect for energy-saving construction closely related to wood as a construction material, the only natural carry. The present time is dictated by the use of modern and healthy materials, supported by competent and professional projecting solutions.&It is also part of the activities in the process-oriented education of students in various colleges and architects in Slovenia as well as abroad about new technologies sustainable construction with wood. We cooperate with researchers and professors, which we include as external lecturers with practical experience in their educational process, in the execution of such tasks as well as the preparation of doctoral theses.
The current research work is oriented towards capacity building of ve?eta?nih of wooden buildings and upgrading existing energy-wasteful buildings that you can in the case of upgrades and thus yield due to the increase in sales areas, appropriate energy saniramo. In this way you can ?tevilnem an existing energy-efficient buildings to achieve the reduction through wasteful fondue energy losses, which would have a much larger effect than achieving new energy standards for new buildings.
We produce effective solutions to upgrade or parazitno upgrading of existing buildings can provide energy savings through an appropriate rehabilitation and seismic resistance.

由于全部验算的中间值都已经在结果表格中给出,因此验算的全部过程都非常透明。用户可以设置在单独的窗口中显示沿着梁的长度方向上任意 x - 位置处的计算结果图形。这里不仅可以显示每个梁的变形,而且可以显示每个杆件的内力。
各个验算及其从属的详细计算数据,以及用户选择输出的结果图形都可以集成到打印输出报告中,因此保证可以向软件用户提供可供检查、条理清楚的计算书文件。用户还可以通过使用图形、说明、计算简图等补充和编辑计算书。除上述外,软件使用者可以针对计算过程的各个项目进行单个的设定,以确定是否需要打印到计算书中。
