Entering from the cockpit, we have a choice of a ladder to the flybridge, walking around to the bow or entering the main salon thru sliding glass doors. Having done this, we have boarded one of the most successful inexpensive coastal cruisers ever to reach the marketplace. A great layout for a cruising couple or small family, she also partakes of the legendary Mainship fuel consumption of only 2 gph at about 7 knots. A real plus in today's world. Up on the flybridge, we find a helm and seat for two. Going forward in the main salon we find a lower helm station to starboard and a pass through and counter to port. Down steps the galley is to port and the ample sized head with separate shower is to starboard. The shower has a molded seat. All the way forward is the master Vee berth cabin with a folding pocket privacy door.
The very clean Galley is down to port and has everything needed to make the chef happy. Prepare an elegant meal or just a quick snack with ease. Ample counter space and storage make cooking easy.

Starting at the flybridge, the helm is forward with seating for the captain and first mate and an excellent view for maneuvering the vessel. There is a bench seat aft for guest and a large bimini that can be fully enclosed overhead. Below is a large cockpit with room for fishing, relaxing, or entertaining. There is transom door access to a swim platform with boarding ladder. Enter the salon through a large sliding glass door, large sliding windows port and starboard, windshield forward provide a light airy feeling to the salon. To starboard is a small folding table with chairs aft and the lower helm station forward. The electric panel and generator controls are along the starboard wall with the steering station and engine controls forward, engine gauges and VHF overhead. There is a linear settee to port that converts to a bed with storage below and fishing rod racks tastefully mounted to the coach roof above. Continue forward in the salon along the port side there is a cabinet with counter space that doubles as a navigation station. Moving forward and down two steps to port is the large U-shaped galley. There is a large stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressure water, ample counter space, a stainless steel 2-burner stove, toaster oven, microwave oven, full size stand-up frig - freezer and overhead cabinets for ample storage. To starboard is the head with vanity, sink and separate shower stall. Continuing forward is the large V-Berth stateroom with two hanging lockers and drawers for storage.. The Carver 410 Sport Cruiser is a true multi-use vessel.
She offers luxury accommodations with lots of natural lighting and ventilation. The large enclosed flying bridge features plenty of seating, a wet bar, and a dinette.
She is a great dockside entertainment platform and the offshore capabilities rival much larger vessels.
The main salon features a U-shaped sofa to starboard, a stand alone ottoman with storage can also be used to create an additional berth in a pinch.
The galley is located in the forward port side of the salon.
The U-shaped dinette is forward to port, up a few steps from the salon.
The master stateroom is all the way forward with a private head and separate shower. The guest stateroom is amidships with a double bed that can convert to twin berths. The guest head is to port that is doubles as the day head. A heavy sliding glass door opens to a very large cockpit.
There is an abundance of storage for water toys, fishing rods, and other assorted gear.
A molded in fiberglass stairway on the starboard side allows access to the expansive flying bridge and command center. A centerline helm chair allows the captain access to all the ships functions. There are swiveling chairs on either side of the Captain for close friends or family. There is a dinette with U-shaped seating for additional guests and easy entertaining.
A wet bar and refrigerator with ice maker round out the amenities.

Viewing this Phoenix 29 Flybridge in her lift afforded a good look at the bottom,
which was very clean with good bottom paint. "Lucky Penny" is a purpose built "go fishing" vessel.
Stepping aboard one first notices the large aft fishing cockpit. This area is very large with plenty of room to move where one needs to be while wrestling a fish.
The inside of the gunwale has knee bolsters with a stainless steel rail atop the gunwale sporting fishing rod holders all around.
Stainless steel railing starts just forward of the cockpit and on to the bow.
There is a grab rail atop the cabin for a secure hold on the way up. On the bow is a well secured Danforth anchor with 5' of rubber coated chain and nylon rode.
There is no windlass,
however there are two strong stainless cletes and two stainless open chocks.
On up to the Flybridge which is accessed via ladder from the Fishing Deck is located a bench type wide helm chair facing the console.
Here are the engine instruments for both engines,
Switch Panel,
depth and Chart Plotter. This area is cover by a bimini and is equipped with a radar arch.
Down below,
the cabin is equipped with everything needed for a week-end fishing trip including galley stove,
refrigerator - freezer and sink with on-demand pressurized water.
Across the way to port is a Mansfield Marine toilet with built in holding,
macerator pump and a stainless sink with shower attachment.
There is a nice Dinette that can easily seat four to port with a settee to starboard which folds out to make two bunks.
On forward in the bow is a very large berth for two.

Starting with the pilothouse, a commanding 360 degree view from 18 off the water resembles the unrestricted view of a flybridge, equipped with the latest in technology, private head and daybed. Dual sliding hatches provide outstanding ventilation on the nice days and access to the side walkways, Portuguese bridge and large foredeck forward. Dual mahogany swiveling captains chairs and separate navigators seat provide seating.
Walking aft into the salon provides plenty of space to entertain and relax. Equipped with two swivel mariner Ultraleather chairs and a custom marine Flex-steel sofa covered in soft Ultraleather converts to full size sleeper for guests. The full size, complete L-shaped galley is just aft and has everything for a complete meal while at anchor or underway.
Walking down the companionway leads to the full size master stateroom and a full beam walk-around island queen berth rests a dual Sleep Number bed. The master head is probably one of the largest you will see on a boat this size and has a private entrance with walk-in shower.
Raising the hydraulic companionway steps leads through the first of four watertight doors and into the engine compartment. There is plenty of space to work on the single Cummins diesel and to starboard is the fuel polishing and generator. Leading through another watertight door takes you to the mechanical room, work shop and laundry. From there you have access to the drive-in tender bay and another watertight hatch leads you to the stern area above.
The drive-in tender bay is a work of art in itself for a vessel this size. Hydraulically operated from the transom, allows you to easily store the Zodiac 310 with 15 hp motor without needing a lift.
