6月16日和17日，由天津市青年京剧团等单位排演的大型交响京剧《郑和下西洋》在梅兰芳大剧院首次与北京观众见面。不出所料，该剧“雷”倒了众多观众，以至散戏后都缓不过神来。
　　先聊聊我所看到的天津青年京剧团。
　　该团实力雄厚，名角云集，在传统戏的继承方面成绩卓著，去年推出的大型交响京剧《郑和下西洋》让很多人大跌眼镜，“如此‘花哨’的作品，是‘天青’搞的吗？”
　　呵呵！不仅局外人疑惑，“天青”的当家人何尝不心怀忐忑呢？
　　大概是在一年前，与上任团长不久的少波兄谈到这出即将上马的大制作，应该是我第一次看到他犹豫不决的样子，《郑和下西洋》，除了演员是自己的，其他主创基本都是外聘精英，创作观念和艺术风格与“天青”差别很大……终于，戏推出来了，尽管争议不小，但毕竟让人看到了重振“天青”雄风的希望。
　　是啊，已经有很长时间了，关于这个团的传说漫天飞。今天，大家又回来了，能把这么多的主演“拴”在一起，少波团长居功至伟。应该说，是他在最紧要的关头把“天青”人凝聚在了一起。
　　呵呵！收笔，再写下去，成先进人物报告会了。
　　总之，“天青”，加油！少波兄，加油！这是我发自肺腑的祝愿。
　　现在回到本文的主题上来。我的观点：这是一台有缺点的好戏。说它好，有以下几个原因：
　　第一，主题昂扬向上。全剧围绕“和”字精神，艺术再现郑和七下西洋的史实，把这幅开拓海上丝绸之路的壮丽画卷绘制在舞台上，以弘扬“和谐万邦，共享太平”的鲜明主题。
　　第二，阵容超级豪华。孟广禄、刘桂娟、张克、闫巍、石晓亮、王立军、孙丽英、董玉杰、李秀成、韩云江等众多“天青”大腕首次在一台大戏里集中亮相，给观众带来相当大的观赏预期。幕后创作者更是名流荟萃，苏叔阳担任文学戏剧总监，编剧戴英禄、梁波和黎中城，总导演查明哲，作曲刘廷禹和尹晓东，舞美设计罗江涛，灯光设计邢辛，服装设计袁甦和彭丁煌。
　　第三，舞台妙趣横生。不仅逼真的船队夺人眼球，三维动画制作的浩瀚大海更令人心潮澎湃，尤其是舞蹈，中国的、东南亚的、阿拉伯的、非洲的……其色彩之多堪比一台歌舞晚会，期间出现的京剧花脸与肚皮舞娘同台表演的场景也许会成为京剧史上独一无二的“故事”。
　　还有一个花絮，麻将据说是由郑和研发的，那么，备受诟病的麻将在这样一出以郑和为主角的新戏中就有了正名的机会——第一次被正面搬上舞台，演员们穿着印有“东南西北、一万、八条”等图案的服装在舞台上大肆舞蹈，很奇妙，很好看，也很让相当一批人指摘。
　　客观地说，此剧的问题也不少——
　　首先是结构。此剧的倒叙手法可能不太利与不了解这段历史的观众入戏，即便现在讲起来也非常头疼，略去不表。
　　其次是形式。交响乐、歌剧、音乐剧、舞剧等等，尽管艺术是相通的，但毕竟还是有区别的，尤其在京剧相对固定的程式面前，如何找到共通的支点是几代人都没有解决好的问题。《郑和下西洋》集这些问题之大成，结果当然显而易见——支持者欢呼雀跃，恼怒者捶胸顿足。
　　我觉得，这未尝不是好事，京剧再不能只在小圈子里自娱自乐，而是要想尽一切办法与外界融合。
　　当然，《郑和下西洋》的融合，现在看来也还不是楷模。
