我的家乡旺苍县位于川北东南方向，与两省、六县相邻，在川北地区可称得上是历史悠久、文化深厚的一颗熠熠闪光的明珠！ 听爷爷讲，昔日的旺苍，芦苇丛深环抱小小的县城，望去一片苍然，故得名叫“望苍”。爷爷感慨：今日旺苍，兴旺发达。观之一派晶盛，所以后人改原“望苍”为“旺苍”。我出生于九十年代末，前辈人讲的家乡的演变，我只能作为历史听说而已。如今的家乡，却胜世外桃源一般。我能亲身体会到它一天天地变化。近几年来，城市按照科学发展观大规模的扩展，一座座小平房变成高楼大厦；柏油马路变宽直通外面的世界。窄窄地河堤已经被美丽的“望月堤”取缔了。灯火辉煌的广场成了人们休闲娱乐的场所，原来人们心目中的“光灰”城市，如今却被另外两个代表“光辉”城市，工艺精湛的红四军雕像及城市标志在人鸟和谐、绿树成荫的“望月堤”已经诞生了，它的诞生让来“望月堤”的人们，更多的了解先烈们用青春和热血在旺苍这片土地上谱写的一首首感天动地的英雄篇章。 干净、整洁的城市面貌，犹如家乡人们的一张名片，穿行在大街两边的人行道上，头顶上茂盛梧桐树为你遮风挡雨。商场的商品琳琅满目，让人应接不暇。整个城市一派新气象。我生活在这衣食无忧的和谐年代里。只有努力学习，学好各科知识，从身边的小事做起，带动更多的人了解家乡，爱我们的新旺苍。 从生活中，资料上我了解了更多旺苍人文、自然景观天生丽质，雄伟神奇的天下第一鼓，类多面广的恐龙化石，举世罕见的困龙十八潭壶穴群，潇洒飘逸的黑角里高瀑布，山水画廊般的七里峡，琼仙瑶池样的鹿亭温泉，意义重大的木门会议会址，遗址密集的红军城等足够让来这里的人留连忘返，勾魂摄魄了。家乡人的智慧、艺术才华、热情好客已为旺苍瑰丽独特的旅游资源奠定了坚实的基础。 昨天的家乡在浓墨重彩下变得更美丽了，今天的家乡已是山水天人合一的美丽画卷，明天的家乡我们要让它走向世界！
