今天与大家分享一下通过把文件移动到非系统盘来为系统盘瘦身的技巧。
先介绍是什么东东，很奇怪的后缀名哦。其实它就是我们在Windows8中随处可以调用的“搜索”超级按钮为了加快搜索速度而建立的索引文件，所以还是很有用的，但是看看它的体积，你就会觉得也太占系统盘的空间了，Windows.edb文件所在的路径为C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows。
这是Microsoft酋长的电脑中Windows.edb文件的属性截图，你可以看到有600多MB大小，而有的朋友的机子上甚至可以达到数GB大小。
虽然我们可以删除该文件，但正像前面说过的，它还是比较有用的（并且删除后，再次使用搜索功能后，它还会生成的），所以我们最好保留着它，但可以移动一下Windows.edb文件的位置。方法如下：
Win + F快捷键，打开“搜索”超级按钮，搜索“索引选项”。如图：
打开“索引选项”窗口，点击底部的“高级”按钮，打开“高级选项”窗口。如图：
点击右下角的“选择新位置”按钮，为Windows.edb选择非系统盘的路径即可。最后点击“确定”，重新启动电脑，就可以把Windows.edb移动到非系统盘了，从而实现为Win8系统盘瘦身的目的。
另外，如果你确实想彻底删除Windows.edb文件，而不在乎使用索引技术进行快速搜索，那么可以在删除该文件后，再停用“Windows Serch”即可。

　　著名Forrester的分析师J.P.Gownder在近日发表了一系列评论，其中关于微软方面的改进也有提到。据传于下一个版本操作系统中，恢复开始按钮的改进势在必行。　　“Windows 8系统并不支持开始按钮，因此衍生出了大量的开始按钮仿真器，比如StartIsBack, Pokki和StartMenu等。”Gownder认为，用户普遍希望增加开始按钮，以保持此前的应用习惯。　　很遗憾的是，开始按钮仿真器很难达到原生按钮的效果。兼容性、稳定性方面都是有缺憾的。分析师：开始按钮必须回到Windows界面/cb图　　Modern UI界面上应用复杂程度不断增加，Windows 8需要一个更好的桌面体验，以配合消费者的使用习惯来看，这也促进了“恢复开始按钮势在必行”的决心。

**Uninstall Pokki on Windows XP**
1. From the Start menu, choose Control Panel
2. In Control Panel, open &Add or Remove Programs&
3. Select Pokki from the list of currently installed programs, then click Remove
4. When asked if you would like to uninstall Pokki, select Yes
**Uninstall Pokki on Windows Vista or Windows 7**
1. From the Start menu, choose Control Panel
2. In Control Panel, click the &Uninstall a program& link as shown below. The Programs and Features Control Panel opens. Alternately, if you do not see the &Uninstall a program& link, click Programs and Features.
3. Select Pokki from the list of currently installed programs, then click Uninstall
4. Do the same for &Host App Service& and &Start Menu& if they are listed.
5. When asked if you would like to uninstall, select Yes
**Uninstall Pokki on Windows 8**
1. Switch to the Metro UI
2. Start typing &Control Panel&
3. Scroll down and click &More Settings&
4. Click &Uninstall a program& under the Programs section
5. Select Pokki from the list of currently installed programs, then click Uninstall
6. Do the same for &Host App Service& and &Start Menu& if they are listed.
7. When asked if you would like to uninstall, select Yes
**Still having problems?**
1. Right-click the windows taskbar, hover over toolbars, and click Pokki.
2. Copy/Paste? this into an explorer window: %localappdata%
3. Click the Pokki folder
4. Delete all files/folders in here except Pokki Download Helper
5. Restart your computer
