the topic is &do you agree or disagree with the following statement.if parents want their children to perform well in school, they should limit the hours that their chidren spend watching TV.&
& && & No matter in the past or present, offspring must be invaluable to their parents.And under no circumstances can the importance of education be overweighed byanything else. Thus, a question is generated that should the hours of childrenwatching TV to be limited, if parents want their children to perform better inschool. I hold the idea that to fulfill this goal, maybe it is unnecessary toconstrain the time of watching TV for several reasons.&&& && & Firstand foremost, I can understand the reason of why some people think it is correctabout the question above. The ability of self-control of an ordinary person islimited, especially to those children whose character is playful. It is noteasy for them to consciously study without the supervision comes from theirparents or teachers. I think I am a living example. When I was in primaryschool, not only the television, but also the computer was on the list of timelimitation. As a result, my score of math was not low indeed. Even I performedwell in some other courses. Also a phenomenon in China is a case in this point.Parents enforce their kids to go to so-called “the second class”, which meansanother class outside the school, to entrench their knowledge learned from school.& && & Butstill there are lots of other methods to improve the levels of kids in school,except limiting the hours of watching TV, which the drawbacks are obvious. Aresearch shows that the way of a truly intelligent person to study is enjoyingthe process of it, meanwhile doing everything else, include watching TV, he orshe want. So to parents, the best way to let their offspring preforms well instudy, in my opinion, must be improving their interests in it. This point isbest illustrated by the example of Jobs. His adopted father respected all histhinking, to study, to play, or to watch television. At the same time,nourishing his interests in electronic equipment when he found Jobs wasattracted by it. So an extraordinary inventor was born out. To contrast withthis, if we just purely limit the hours of watching TV of our children, anegative mood may be stimulated, which may cause a tragic ending that isfeeling boring on study.& && & Tobe summary, there is no doubt that the purpose of parents to limit the hours oftheir children spend on TV is good. But still there are various methods, whichare all better than that, can be selected. We cannot pursue a small benefit togive up a big benefit. And the way to educate children is complex, we’d betterthink secondly before we fulfill our plans.
