用英语介绍客人的礼仪用语
&&& 在交际场合,介绍客人相识是必不可少的礼仪.课本中已出现过介绍用语this is...,但在介绍时,何种场合使用何种称谓及用语,对这方面的礼仪,却未曾说明.今不揣浅陋,将英美人士介绍客人时的一般礼仪及用语分述如下。
&&& 一、介绍客人所遵循的礼节
&&& 聚会时高朋满座,若有几位互未谋面的宾朋,开席之前主人应逐一介绍双方相识,尔后入座.介绍时一般须遵循女士优先,长者为尊,高贵者先知为快的原则.若来宾中有地位较高的人士,应先向他(她)们介绍地位较低的一方,然后再向年长的女士,随后才向年长的男士依长幼次序介绍年轻的女士和男士。
&&& 二、介绍客人选用称谓的礼节
&&& 介绍时采用双方的称谓和姓名以及用语,都要根据场合正式程序来选用.具体场合有三种.
&&& 1.正式场合:称谓和姓名用Dr/Professor/Mr/Mrs/Ms/Miss/Ma'am+First Name和Last Name。如:
&&& (1)向地位较高的已婚女士介绍男士时可说:
&&& Mrs Carton, May I introduce James Harding. Jame, this is Mrs Roger Carton(or Mrs Jane Carton).卡尔顿夫人,请让我介绍詹姆斯&哈定.詹姆斯,这位罗杰&卡尔顿夫人(或:简&卡尔顿夫人)。

&&& (2)向年长者介绍年轻的女士时可说:
&&& Mr Brown, this is Miss Patricia Haley. Patty, this is Mr Edgar Brown.&布朗先生,这位是帕特里霞&哈利小姐.帕蒂,这位是埃德加&布朗先生.
&&& (3)向长者介绍年轻的男士时可说:
&&& Mr Baker, this is Robert Green. Robert, this is Mr John Baker.贝克先生,这位是罗伯特&格林.罗伯特,这位是约翰&贝克先生.
&&& (4)向年长者介绍18岁以下的女孩时可说:
&&& This is Linda Bell, Mr and Mrs Alan Ross.艾伦&罗斯先生和夫人,这位是琳达&贝尔.
&&& N.B.①上项(4)向长者介绍一方就行了.琳达即可向罗斯夫妇问候.②有时向地位高年龄大的人介绍自己的伙伴时,不用称谓和姓。如:
&&& Allow me, Sir, to introduce you to my fellow-travellers.先生,请容许我向你介绍我的旅伴。
&&& 2.较正式场合:用上述称谓+姓氏.如被介绍者是青年男女,通常用First Name和Last Name,不加用称谓.介绍顺序依照第1项.如:
&&& (1)Marie Green, let me introduce Professor Banks. Professor Banks, this is Marie Green. She's here to study for her doctorate in Law.玛丽&格林,让我向你介绍班克斯教授.班克斯教授,这位玛丽&格林,是来这里攻读法律博士学位的。
&&& (2)下面是较正式场合常用的介绍用语.
&&& Rosa Morison, I'd like you to meet Bruce Read.罗莎&莫里森,我想请你见见布鲁期&里德.
&&& Rosa Morison, have you met Bruce Read?罗莎&莫里森,你见过布鲁斯&里德吗?
&&& Rosa Morison, do you know Bruce Read?罗莎&莫里森,你来同布鲁斯&里德认识一下好吗?
3.非正式场合:用被介绍者的First Name.特别是美国人,介绍其父母时也只用名字.如:
&&& &John, these are my parents, George and Sylvia.& &Pleased to meet you.&&约翰,这是我的父母,乔治和西尔维娅.&&认识你们很高兴.&
&&& (2)&Dad, this is my boyfriend, Kevin.& &Hello, Kevin. Andrea's told me all about you.&&老爸,这是我的男朋友凯文.&&你好,凯文.安德莉总在我面前提到你.&
&&& (3)&Hi, Jack, meet my brother Tom.& &Hi there Tom! I didn't expect to see you here.&&你好,杰克,这位是家兄汤姆.&&你好,汤姆!未料到今儿见到你.&
&&& 4.自我介绍的用语:(A)用于正式的和较正式的场合;(B)用于非正式场合.
&&& (A)May I introduce myself. My name is Frank Darney, legal advisor to the Netcape Com.
&&& (=communications).容许我来自我介绍.我叫弗兰克&达尼,是&网景公司&的法律顾问.
&&& (B)Hello, I'm Alan Simmons. I work in the Forbes Parent Company.大家好,我叫艾伦&西蒙斯.我在福布斯总公司工作.
&&& 三、介绍后双方应行使的礼节
&&& 介绍后双方要互相问候,常用How do you do?或It's nice to meet you等.其它场合见第3项.如是两位男士,通常握手以示相识.如是一男一女,应等女方伸出手,男方才可伸手相握;若女方不伸手,男士不应主动伸手的.握手时用力要适中,太重了表现得过于热情(尤其同女士握手,太用劲会使女士产生squeeze的暧昧感觉),太轻了使对方感到敷衍了事,对人不尊敬.
&&& 介绍客人时切勿漏掉一人.应该介绍的人而未被介绍,视为不礼貌的行为,并认为没被介绍的人是不受欢迎的人.
&&& 此外,向外国朋友介绍中国同事或上级时,有两点值得注意.
&&& 1.我国习惯介绍客人时常爱用官衔、职务或职业名称等冠于姓氏之前,但有些名称词在英语用法上却不用于姓氏前,如:secretary, director, engineer, manager,master等.所以,如介绍说&这位是北京化工厂张厂长.&要说:This is Mr Zhang, Director of Beijing Chemical Plant.
&&& 2.介绍已婚女士时,要考虑到西方人的习俗:女士婚后改用其丈夫姓,而我国女士婚后仍保持娘家姓氏.如介绍说:&这位是邓教授的夫人.&英语若说成This is Mrs Professor Deng.这就成了&邓太太是教授&了.实情如此,倒也罢了.如不是实情,改用同位语方式作说明语,或用&邓太太&娘家姓--&李&,后接同位说明身份.(A)This is Mrs Deng, wife of professor Deng.(B)This is Ms/Ma'am Li, wife of Professor Deng.
&&& 总之,向外宾介绍我国人士要&入乡随俗&.--博才网

“偏旁部首”英语怎么说？汉字何时起源？共有多少个汉字？汉字除了中国还有哪些国家用过？汉字难学吗？Is Chinese difficult to learn?你可能经常听到这样的话：You may often hear people say:我想学汉语，但是汉字太难了。I want to learn Chinese, but Chinese characters are too difficult.不少想学汉语的人在开始学习之前可能都有这样的想法。Quite a lot people who want to learn Chinese think this way before taking up Chinese.实际上，当你了解汉字之后会发现汉字并不难学。In fact, you will find it not so hard to learn after you get to know the Chinese characters.与拼音文字大不相同，汉字具有它独特的规律。Different from alphabetical languages, the Chinese characters have its unique discipline.汉字最早起源于图画，是人们对事物形象的描绘，也就是最初的象形文字。The Chinese characters, originated from pictures, were people’s depiction of things, or the original hieroglyphical characters.看到这个字，你会想到什么？What will you think of when you see this character “日”?它是从这个图案演变而来的，它表示太阳。The character was evolved from the graphical representation of the sun.它就像一个圆形，中间有一个点。It is like a circular form with a dot in the middle.也许你会问，太阳中间为什么会有一个点呢？You may ask why there is a dot in the middle of the Sun.原来 人们直视太阳的时候，太阳中间强烈的光线，就像一个亮点。In fact, when people look directly at the Sun, the strong light in the middle of the Sun is like a light spot.可见，古人有着多么敏锐的观察力啊。&It is clear that ancient people had acute observation.汉字从起源到现在已经有几千年的历史了。Chinese characters have the history of several thousand years.世界上最早产生的几种象形文字，例如古埃及的象形文字和印第安人的玛雅文字，Humans generated several kinds of hieroglyphical characters，such as the hieroglyphical characters in ancient Egypt and Indians’ Mayan characters，因为种种原因后来都已经失传。were lost later due to a host of reasons.只有汉字历经数千年的演变而延续至今。Only Chinese characters have gone through several thousand years of evolution and remain until now.这是我们看到的最早的汉字，它们被写在龟甲以及兽骨上。These are the earliest Chinese characters we have seen which were written on tortoise shells and beast bones.字形有大有小 笔道很细。There are big and small forms of characters with slender strokes.每个字都像是一幅小孩子的图画。Every character is like a small kid’s drawing.这个字像不像女子跪坐的样子？Does this character look like a woman kneeling?它表示“女人”的意思。It indicates the meaning of a “woman”.实际上，双膝跪地，两手交于腰间，正是古代中国妇女的仪态。In fact, kneeling down the two knees and the two hands crossed on the waist is just the bearing of ancient Chinese women.它演变到现在是这样的。It has evolved into the current form of the character “女”.“月”字就像夜空中一轮弯弯的月亮；“月” is “人”字就像一个伸直了手臂弯曲站立的人的样子；“人”is like a person who is standin“手”字就像是一个有着五根手指以及手腕的手掌；“手” is like a palm with five“山”字就像是连绵起伏的山峰。“山” is like rolling peaks.经过发展之后汉字在象形的基础上又发展出了其他的造字方法。After its development, other methods of word-formation were developed based on the hieroglyphical characters.如果你接触过一些汉字，就会发现很多汉字都可以拆成不同的部分。Many Chinese characters can be taken apart into different parts.并且很多汉字中都有着相同的部分，它们被称作“偏旁”。Plus, many Chinese characters share the same parts, which are called components or basic structural parts.英文中26个字母可以随意组成一个单词。The 26 English letters may be formed into words freely.汉字虽然没有字母，但是不同的偏旁也可以组成不同的汉字。Though Chinese characters have no letters, different structural parts may form different Chinese characters.这个偏旁是由“手”变化而来的。This structural part conveys the connotation of a hand.当你看到带有这个偏旁的字，你会发现这些字基本上都有与手的动作相关的意思。When you see characters with this structural part, you may find that these characters are basically related to the motion of hands.汉字中表示声音的偏旁约有1300个，表示意思的偏旁约有250个。Among Chinese characters, there are 1,300 basic structural parts indicating different sounds and 250 indicating different meanings.这些不同的偏旁可以组成不同的汉字。These different structural parts may form different characters.据统计，汉字有80%以上是由这种方法构成的。According to statistics, over 80% characters are formed in this way.到底有多少汉字，至今没有一个确切的统计。There has no exact statistics on the total number of Chinese characters.只有从字典中寻找到大概的数字。Only approximate figures can be found in dictionaries.二十世纪已出版的《中华字海》中收录了汉字85000个。85,000 Chinese characters have been included in Chinese Thesauruses published in the 20th century.这么多的汉字可怎么记得住啊？How to remember so many Chinese characters?不要担心。Do not worry.汉字虽然众多，但是日常使用的汉字，仅仅几千个而已。Though there are numerous Chinese characters, there are only several thousand daily-used ones.据统计，1000个常用汉字能覆盖约92%的书面材料，2000字可覆盖98%以上，3000字时已经能够覆盖到99% 。According to statistics, 1,000 commonly-used characters can cover nearly 92% of written documents, 2,000 characters may cover over 98%, 3,000 -- 99%.你知道吗？Do you know?汉字不仅在中文中使用，日文中也有汉字。Chinese characters are not only used in China, but also in Japan.日本国在历史上很长一段时间内都没有文字来记录自己的语言。No characters were used to record the language for a long period of time in Japanese history.大约公元四世纪时，汉字通过朝鲜大量传入日本。In about the 4th century AD, Chinese characters were introduced into Japan in large quantities through Korea.日本人最初把汉字作为表示声音的符号使用。At first, the Chinese characters were used as symbols to indicate sound.后来这些汉字逐渐演变成日语的假名。Later, they gradually became kana.朝鲜语 越南语之中也同样有汉字的身影。There are Chinese characters found in Korean and Vietnamese.何不尝试着写几个汉字呢？Why not try to write several Chinese characters?你会发现其中的乐趣的。&You may find the pleasure.汉字Chinese character偏旁&Radicals, structural parts& &点下方的赞和广告，答谢辛苦编译的小编
