It adds so much to the dreamlike atmosphere this game has and manages to be simultaneously relaxing and rhythmic. I love every single song in this one.MS: An interesting mix of energetic and emotional tunes, all of which are memorable and fantastic. I feel like ZUN put his soul into this game since he thought this would be his last.UFO: This game has such a bubbly and upbeat soundtrack that reminds me a lot of Kirby. Love all of these songs as well.MoF: The music and the warm color pallette capture the feeling of autumn perfectly. A lot of fan favorites in this one and I can see why.LLS: Like TD, there's a dreamlike atmosphere going on, but more so a surreal one than a relaxing one. The hardware limitations give it this personality, with limited pallettes and FM synthesis making it feel otherworldly. It also hosts some of my personal favorites like Alice Maestra and Dream Land.PoDD: The heavier emphasis on dialogue and varied compositions give the cast a lot more character than the rest of the PC98 and early Windows games. There's a lot of variety in the soundtrack to reflect this.LoLK: ZUN really captured the space shooter feel in this one. The songs are catchy and fast-paced but use more subdued and synthetic instruments. It has an experimental style similar to TD which fits nicely.Comment too long.

What would the requirement be: flight and someway to perform Spellcards, so if someone could let say shoot bullets and fly could that partake in these fights?14 replies and 4 images omitted.
to view.Literally all you need is some method of flight and a way of producing masses of non-lethal projectiles. Easy for magicians, priests, or spirits, not so easy for Farmer Joe.&non-lethalI don't think danmaku has to be non-lethal - it seems like Sakuya's knives could easily kill someone, and that's not to mention the actual suns that Okuu likes to throw around. There's nothing in the spell card rules about battles having to be non-lethal, either: Just that you can't kill a human after the battle is over even if you won. Although it does raise the question of why no one ever seems to die or even suffer serious injuries in a spell card battle.https://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/Perfect_Memento_in_Strict_Sense/Draft_of_Spell_Card_Rules&It doesn't have to be magic. Sakuya uses kitchen knivesBut in order to throw more than 50 knives per second, you need some sort of magic. I don't think Sakuya throws knives with her hands the same way regular knife throwers in circuses do.There has to be some magic involved. Not even talking about what carrying millions of knives under your skirt would be like. My guess is that she is carrying a small amount of knives and magically duplicate them and they somehow vanish not long after the impact.Sakuya stops time and throws a ton of knives during the stopped time, like DIO does. Although unlike DIO, she can actually stop time long enough to go gather a lot of individual knives, which is how she uses so money.Stopping time = magicBut anyway, I don't think she just stop time to then throw knives like a normal person would do with their hands (like one would throw a ball); I'm pretty confident she make the knives appear and use some magical force to propel them.File:

Luna Family Hearing
When you hear better, you feel better. And so do we.(TM)
Luna Family Hearing is a local, family-owned hearing care company with offices throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Luna Family Hearing is a locally family owned and operated hearing care company that you can depend on to help you hear better. We promise expert, reliable care. We take your hearing personally because we know that when you hear better, you feel better. And so do we.
Treating hearing loss. Today’s hearing aids can help most people regain much of that lost ability through digital sound processing. It begins with a thorough diagnosis that includes a series of hearing tests as well as information that you provide about where you have the most difficulty with your hearing.
Getting hearing aids. Should your treatment include hearing aids, the fitting process begins with computerized programming of your hearing aids to match your loss. This is a highly individualized process conducted by our licensed hearing care professionals.
Setting your expectations. It’s important that you understand what hearing aids can and cannot do. While they will not restore your hearing to exactly what it was when you were young, digital hearing aids can significantly improve your ability to hear and understand speech, and to hear other sounds you enjoy including music. We can also adjust them to optimize your hearing in the situations where you need them the most.
Hearing aids are an investment in your quality of life.
We explain the differences between various hearing aids in a way that you can understand and easily evaluate their cost and value. Financing is available to those who qualify.
Frequently Asked Questions
A. In 90% of all cases, hearing loss occurs because the delicate hair cells in the inner ear are irreparably broken or do not otherwise function properly. This means that the brain does not receive all the sounds and frequencies it needs to provide a complete soundtrack. It is like removing high keys on a piano and asking somebody to play a well-known melody. Even with only six or seven notes missing, the melody might be difficult to recognize and simply wouldn’t sound right.
Types and causes of hearing loss
In most cases, your hearing healthcare professional can determine the nature of your hearing loss and quite closely pinpoint what caused it. Hearing loss can be either conductive or sensorineural, or both.
Sensorineural hearing loss
Sensorineural hearing loss is by far the most common hearing loss. The condition refers to problems in the cochlea or auditory nerve. Most are due to deterioration of the tiny outer hair cells that line the cochlea and transmit sound to the auditory nerve and then the brain. This accounts for 90% of permanent hearing losses. Often, it is a natural part of aging, but other causes could be:
Traumatic exposure to noise
Genetic disposition
Viral infections of the inner ear
Certain medical treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy
Head injury
Sensorineural hearing loss can’t be corrected medically, but can usually be improved through the use of hearing aids.
Conductive hearing loss
This condition is caused by any obstruction or malfunction of the outer or middle ear that prevents sound waves from reaching the inner ear. Some of the causes of conductive hearing loss can include:
An accumulation of earwax
A collection of fluid in the middle ear
Abnormal bone growth in the middle ear (otosclerosis)
Middle ear infections (otitis media)
Perforation of the eardrum
Most conductive losses can be treated medically, but there are times when hearing aids are needed.
Mixed hearing loss
A mixed hearing loss is not as common as other types of hearing loss, but does occur in some segments of the population for a variety of genetic or other reasons.
A mixed hearing loss is a combination of both a sensorineural hearing loss and a conductive hearing loss. Mixed hearing losses can be treated medically for the conductive component in some instances, but the majority of mixed hearing loss is treated through the use of hearing aids.
A. Generally, the price of a digital hearing aid goes up as you add special features and technology, like personalized noise reduction or bluetooth capability. The latest technology incorporates direct streaming of audio signals to the hearing aids, such as cell phone calls, television audio, music and media – all streaming directly to your ears! Pricing should never be a mystery, though. Ask us and we will explain in simple, straight forward terms the cost of each hearing aid and technology level we offer. We will always recommend the model and style of hearing aid that we know, through years of experience, will benefit you the most for your lifestyle and budget.
A. At Luna Family Hearing, we always offer a 30-day evaluation period for trying out your new hearing aids in a variety of settings. We want to make sure you are doing the best you can with your new hearing aids working together to meet your needs.
A. We work with third-party financing companies that will finance your purchase for up to 60 months. You can finance the entire purchase or a portion of your purchase. We always work with you to meet both your hearing needs and your budget. You can own digital hearing aids for as little as a $59.00 per month payment for each hearing aid purchased. We offer HealthiPlan, Wells Fargo Health Advantage or CareCredit for hearing aid financing options for our clients.
A. Accurate measurement of your hearing loss is the first step. At your appointment we will ask you about your medical history and perform a physical exam of your ears, in addition to testing your hearing. Using advanced testing equipment, we measure your hearing to determine where loss has occurred and to what degree. We also measure your ability to understand speech clearly. A hearing test evaluates your hearing sensitivity and is generally performed using an audiometer, which determines the softest level at which you hear different frequencies. Once we have the whole picture, we can complete your evaluation and recommend hearing aids for your individual lifestyle. Call us for more details or to set up an appointment: 1-855-HEAR-NOW.

WHO highlights the high global cost posed by unaddressed hearing loss
3 March 2017 ? GENEVA: On the occasion of World Hearing Day, 3 March 2017, the World Health Organization (WHO) is drawing attention to hearing loss, its economic impact and the cost-effectiveness of interventions to address it. 360 million people worldwide have di 32 million of them are children. Factors contributing to hearing loss include genetic causes, complications at birth, certain infectious diseases, chronic ear infections, the use of particular drugs, exposure to excessive noise and aging.
This year the theme of World Hearing Day is “Action for hearing loss: make a sound investment”. In a new report released today, Global costs of unaddressed hearing loss and cost-effectiveness of interventions, WHO estimates that lack of attention towards hearing loss poses an overall annual cost of 750 billion international dollars globally. The financial costs to the health sector alone are 67-107 billion international dollars every year.
Hearing loss can be addressed
In some settings strategies to prevent hearing loss are well-established, and the actions taken in those settings have resulted in financial savings and significant return on investment. The establishment of early intervention programmes is improving access to ear and hearing care services generally. Moreover, technology is available to detect hearing loss at the earliest stage of development. When their needs are met, people with hearing loss are better able to access education, learn skills and be employed.
WHO’s new report focuses on solutions for lowering the prevalence and mitigating the impact of hearing loss. It highlights cost-effective strategies, namely: prevention through early identification and treatment of ear infections and reducti
early intervention programmes that help identify hearing loss through the screening of newborn and school-aged children and adults above 50 provision of appropriate hearing devices, accompanied with rehabilitation.
“Unaddressed hearing loss poses a great challenge not only for those who are affected by it, but also for their families, communities and countries,” says Dr Etienne Krug, Director of the WHO Department for Management of Noncommunicable Diseases, Disability, Violence and Injury Prevention. “Cost-effective interventions can reduce the impact of hearing loss and ensure that people with hearing loss have the same opportunities in life as their hearing peers. These interventions, which bring benefit to people and save costs to governments, should be replicated wherever there is a need.”
This report forms part of WHO’s advocacy efforts to promote global action on hearing loss.

Your heart and ears have a lot in common. Love them both during American Heart Month.
People tend to take matters of the heart very seriously-----—and they tend to brush off hearing loss as inconsequential. But the truth is, your heart and ears have a lot more in common than most people realize.
In fact, decades of research point to a link between cardiovascular and hearing health.
Specifically, Raymond H. Hull, PhD, professor of communication sciences and disorders in audiology and neurosciences at Wichita State University, and Stacy R. Kerschen, AuD, conducted an analysis of 84 years of work from scientists worldwide on the link between cardiovascular health and the ability to hear and understand what others are saying. Their work, which reviewed 70 scientific studies, confirmed a direct link. The findings of their analysis also suggest that hearing loss may be an early sign of cardiovascular disease.
“Our entire auditory system, especially the blood vessels of the inner ear, needs an oxygen-rich nutrient supply,” says Hull. “If it doesn’t get it due to cardiovascular health problems, then hearing can be affected.”
Other research suggests that hearing loss may be an early sign of cardiovascular disease in seemingly healthy middle-aged people, and even found that hearing loss is common in people in their forties.
David R. Friedland, MD, PhD, Professor and Vice-Chair of Otolaryngology and Communication Sciences at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, went so far as to conclude from his study that patients with low-frequency hearing loss should be regarded as at risk for cardiovascular events, and appropriate referrals should be considered.
He explains the heart-hearing link like this:
“The inner ear is so sensitive to blood flow that it is possible that abnormalities in the cardiovascular system could be noted here earlier than in other less sensitive parts of the body.”
Other experts find the evidence so compelling they say the ear may be a window to the heart and encourage collaboration among hearing care providers, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
So, go ahead. For American Heart Month in February, take time to take a free hearing test at any of our Luna Family Hearing locations.
5 random things your heart and ears have in common
1. Someone with heart disease is at a higher risk of depression—and someone with unaddressed hearing loss is at a higher risk of depression. But BHI research shows that people with hearing loss who use hearing aids are more likely to be optimistic and feel engaged in life.
2. Exercise is good for your heart—and exercise is good for your ears. One study found that a higher level of physical activity is associated with a lower risk of hearing loss in women.
3. Smoking hurts your heart—and it’s really bad for your ears too. Research shows that both smokers and passive smokers are more likely to suffer hearing loss.
4. Your heart and ears love omega-3 fatty acids. Research found that regular fish consumption and higher intake of long-chain omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids are associated with a lower risk of hearing loss in women.
5. Obesity puts people at risk for heart disease—and it affects hearing function. A number of studies show a link between obesity and hearing loss. One looked at women (18 to 40 years old) and found a link. Another uncovered a connection between higher BMI and a larger waist circumference, and hearing loss in women.

His father, Lou, observed Win’s success with hearing aids, which are smart phone compatible for control and accessibility of advanced features. On Win’s recommendation, Lou decided to do something about his own hearing difficulties and agreed to check out what Win describes as a “game changer in technology” offered at Luna Family Hearing.
Lou, a world-renowned mountaineer, adventurer, artist and author is constantly in challenging hearing environments and struggled to hear clearly before wearing hearing aids from Luna Family Hearing. Lou’s pursuing hearing aids to conquer his hearing difficulties on the recommendation of his son exemplifies what Luna Family Hearing’s annual Hear for the Holidays awareness campaign is all about – making sure you are hearing the best you can with your family and friends during the Holiday season and throughout the entire year. “At my age, to hear as good as I do is a miracle to me,” states Lou Whittaker.
This hearing loss awareness campaign is personal to John Luna, CEO of Luna Family Hearing. “I grew up with a father who had a hearing loss and know first hand what a positive change hearing aids can make with communication within a family for everyone involved especially during the Holidays with family and friends gathered together. If you or someone in your life is experiencing difficulty with their hearing, then encourage them to take the first step and get help. Lou and Win’s example and success with hearing aids, along with the thousands of other hearing impaired clients we serve in the Pacific Northwest, is exactly why we do what we do each day, to make positive changes in peoples lives helping them hear the best they can each day,” states John Luna.
The holidays are a perfect time to reconnect with friends and family.
That’s why it’s more important than ever to make sure your hearing at your best. You deserve to hear every story and be part of every joyful moment. If you still find yourself struggling to hear, or your hearing instrument doesn’t work quite the way it used to, you could benefit from an appointment to see if there is something the staff at Luna Family Hearing can do to help you or your loved one hear better.
During our annual Hear for the Holidays awareness campaign your visit with our staff allows you to ask any questions you may have regarding hearing and hearing loss for you or for a family member, friend or colleague.
