Question: Summarise the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they cast doubt on specific points made in the reading passage.
The professor and the reading discussed whether edmonosaurs migrated to south in winter. The professor denied the three reasons listed by the reading.
First of all,&&Alaska provided good living condition to Edmontosaurus. The professor disagreed with the idea that winnter in North Slope was too cold to live. Actually, the summer 100 million years ago was much warmer than recent years. Especially in North Slope, the sunshine almost was 24 hours in peak. It suportted the living condition of plants very well. Even in cold winter, those diverse dead plant also provided enough nutrient to edmontosaurus for surviving.
Secondly, living in herds doesn\'t means edmontosaurs have to migrate to another place. The reading thinks edmontoaurs move to south with herds just like other animals. But the professor mentioned edmontosaurs live with herds was just for extra protection from predators. She also used another modern anmial in United States as an example, showing that some animals do not move in winter, even they live with herds.
Lastly, making a long distance journey was not practical for edmontosaurs. The reading gives many accurate number, proving that edmontosaurs were able to make long distance travel in a fast speed. However, the professor thinks this would not be achieveable in real. Because some edmontosaurs can not move as this speed, and they will slow down the speed of whole herds. And base on the fact that edmontosaurs live in herds: they will not left their friend alone during the trip. So they were not able to move to south.
Genearlly speaking, although the reading used some examples to support its migration hypothesis, the professor explained these misunderstanding one by one by giving plenty evidence and detail.

To improve the quality of education, universities should spend more money on salaries for university professors.
Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
When students and their parents slecte an college, the most important criteria is the shool\'s acadamic level, in other words, quality of education. People always believe that education is highly relative to teachers. And if the university spend more money on them, their class would be more helpful to students. But in my opoinion, good education does relative to teachers, but not that relative to their salaris.
Firstly, the quality of education does not only depend on professors. Most people examine studnet\'s knowledge learned based on their GPA. GPA is consist of many parts: exam, homework and exam. Since most class in university takes at most 5 hours per week, some times one hour per week. So students do not have that much time to communicate with professors even including their office hour every week. To study a course effeciently, students have to spend a lot of time on reading textbook and doing assignments. And it\'s one of the major way for them to get education. Obviosuly,&&professors\' salaries has no relationship to their homework. So i believe adding their salaries is not that neccssary.
Secondly, increasing salary will not make changement to professor\'s class if he don\'t want to spend a lot of time on students. In United States, if a professor signed a formal contract with the university, he would get this job at least for ten years. In these period, no matter how bad his rating is, he will not lose the job. So it\'s totally for him to use the same teaching way. Even his salary increase, it would make too much benefit to him because his job is already garenteed. Moreover, for those professors who have research project, they would like to spend more time on their project because it can bring good reputation and funding (which is usually more than salary) to them.
Finally, i also have some suggestion to the university. If they really concern about students\' education quality and willing to spend money on it. I think it can use money to make more carrer fair and consultant session. Most students study in university because they want to improve their ablity and find a good job. If the schooll can tell them more detail about how to revise a resume or how to prepare an interview, I believe it will be more helpful than increase professors\' salaries which is not that relevant to students\' future develoment.
In general, i believe the salary of teacher does not affect the quality of education that much. Even the university spend more money on it, it would not make some significant change compared to current stuiation. If they really care about this issue, they may focus on other area.
