日托福机经回忆
今天考试感觉还蛮好，110+保佑啊！！！

女生去找advisor谈论她lead的一个club，叫advisor给建议。女生觉得自己初次领导club有些紧张，就想要advisor当他们club的领导人，advisor说我觉得你能胜任，他们又谈club的第1次meeting应该要搞一次活动让member们互相introduce自己并让他们变得更collaborative.

男生去找Professor谈关于art bachelor的一门课。男生只想上painting的Major,但Professor说没有单独的Painting专业。就要他选一门什么bachelor &&&的课。男生说这门课里有art history所以他不太感兴趣。但professor还是强力推荐这门课。男生说好吧，看来也只能这样，但是这门课不好进，很多人都想上，他准备报，但都full了，professor说&it's a suprise, isn't it?&(考重听题）答案类似于professor知道这门课很热门。后来，professor说你可以先上我的Introductory course和另外一个什么课。这是他们就提到了一本要在professor课上用的书，男的说我有这本书的copy但是version太老了，是1995年的，可以吗？professor说现代的版本cover的东西更多，意思就是说建议男的用新的版本。（这里好像也有个重听题）
是astronomy course
是什么scientists最近在月球上找到了有magnatic signature的陨石，但是月球并没有磁场所以不太可能形成这种东东，所以引起了一个debate。后来科学家们找到了一个叫trocoto的东东，然后才解释了一部分谜团，是因为月球有一段时间被magnetize了，才有这种magnetic signature出现
archeology class
Professor 讲了一个地点有temple什么的。主要围绕researcher们根据这个地点做Map. 一开始有一个人做了一个Map，并预测这个地方曾经很繁华。但这个Map不够convincing是因为它不够detailed而且没有描述这个城市的北边。后来的学者们继续研究map，并有了更先进的技术，在飞机上从上往下拍照片，去实地考察，etc.最后用一个什么radiation找到了一个pattern，证明了那个最早做地图的人的预测。这个地方曾经很繁华，还有water system.但最后professor猜它的decline是因为管理不当，而且当地气候潮湿，所以经常有flood出现（双选题）。
(啊，就只记得这么多了，但是lecture的顺序不知道弄错了没有）
1.你朋友next semster要上一个很难的math class,他很紧张，问你有没有什么建议给他
2.你要话一大笔钱买一个东西，你是会找朋友借钱还是自己攒够钱再买？
3.一个学生提议要把campus dining hall移到Outdoor去因为可以解决crowded的问题还可以享受lawn上的好天气
男生说我against it,这只是一个temporary的problem
-因为campus最近的另外一个dining hall在renovating所以才crowded，等几个星期过去装修好了就不会crowded了
-很多人在草地上kick soccer ball还Play frisbee. 男生幽默的说：&你在草地上吃饭，说不定一个soccer ball会踢到你的沙拉里。（我听到这就笑了）&
4.讲distraction display动物们会把predator吸引走，来保护自己的幼仔。for example, 什么Morning dove（读音是这样）Morning doves build there nests on the ground, so they are more exposed and vulnerable to large predators. 像狐狸。如果adult dove看到狐狸就会立马做出反应，它会飞开自己的巢，装作自己的wing是broken的，让狐狸以为自己是一个easy victim.其实不是。adult dove把狐狸吸引到很远的地方后，自己再突然逃脱，它Nest里的Young dove就安全了（貌似这个distraction display在TPO的听力里出现过。）
5.man的problem是自己要写一个paper所以要看一本Mystery Novel。但是学校的bookstore关门了。有两个solution
-第一个，男生说自己打了很多电话去找这本书，在一家店找到了，但是要take him couple of hours to get there.而且男生可能会Miss自己的一些课
-第二个，男生说他去年也读过一本mystery novel但是他不喜欢这本书，而且他没有理解透
6.讲planning的drawbacks
-plan excessively, too detailed
example: professor去年做了一个很详细的daily plan,安排好她什么时候该备课，写essay，锻炼 etc. 但是她没办法完成，所以觉得很frustrated
-有很多干扰，人们会把事情想简单
example: professor说自己以前答应过一个朋友帮他看paper, 她本来以外一个周末就可以搞定，但是其实take more time than she expected。她还有去上网查相关的资料，因为她不熟悉这个topic.
integrated writing
说北美的corn受到rootworm的侵害，阅读想出了几个办法
1.用Pesticide
2.早点种玉米（plant the corn earlier in the year), 这样等天气暖和后，corn的根就mature了，rootworm的Larvae就吃不成它的根了
3.换着种（alternative),今年种玉米，明年种别的作物（crop），像有些farmer会corn和roy换着种，这样在种roy的时候，rootwarm的幼虫饿死后，就不会再去吃玉米了
professor反对说all methods have severe limitations
1.有些rootwarm对pesticide产生了resistance
2.早点种的坏处是，corn会遇到frosts和snowstorms
3.rootwarm已经adapt了这种换着种的方法，所以它们evolve出了一种egg,可以在土里买上几年在hatch，这样等它们hatch就可以吃到玉米根了

题目：是否应该给职业运动员很高的工资？
&&There is a saying that sport is the source of life. Undoubtedly, sport is synonymous with good health and the road approach positive life. However, when asked about should those professional athletes earn high salary, people get into a dilemma. Opinions on this issue among individuals are quite divergent from person to person, and culture to culture.From my personal perspective, I cling to an unshakeable belief that all those diligent athletes who spend their life time contributing to their team and countries are definitely deserved to earn high salary.
& &It is plausible that some people may hold the view that every career should betreated equally. It means that there is no noble jobs and humble jobs in oursociety. Therefore, those people would tend to believe that professional athletes are not separated from common occupations and athletes are not supposed to get high salary. It seems that everything mentioned above are pretty reasonable. However, when taking more factors into consideration, as faras I’m concerned, professional athletes have the qualification to have what they deserve.
& &As a matter of fact, most professional athletes have devoted nearly all their strength to their countries. In order to make great contribution to their own countries, athletes has to sacrifice their private benefits and exert themselves to obtain gold medals. I can think of no better illustration than the example of my own sports idol. Cristiano Ronaldo, a Portuguese soccer player who plays winger or a forward for Spanish La Liga club Real Madrid and serves as captain of the Portuguese national team. Because of his countless contribution to Portugal,He has become the most expensive player in football history.
& &Moving to wider themes, the time that professional athletes spend on practicing has utterly beyond the range of normal workers. Let’s bring our discussion here to a more present and practical context, it can be given a concrete example of the most successful American basketball player Kobe Bryant.He said “ I want to express that if any player want to be great in his basketball career, he must be keep training, training, and retraining, there is no shortcut. ” Furthermore, once a reporter asked Kobe, “ what made you&&achieve success?” Kobe smiled and asked, “Have you ever seen the scene of Los Angeles at 4 am? I see often, because I have been starting training at that time.”
& &In summary, due to above mentioned reasons, it’s now pretty transparent for us to see that professional athletes have the qualification to earn high salary.
