墨尔本大学是澳洲最难申请的大学，商科世界16位，墨尔本大学号称澳大利亚NO1的学校，世界排名从来都高于悉尼大学（当然你需要回国的话排名还是有用的，不过悉尼地段好），墨大商科需要GMAT成绩，非211需要均分90以上，雅思要求7.0，法学要求7.5。本科申请要求不太清楚

关于争论哪间学校好哪间臭根本是毫无意义，除非在该学校读过，能拿出客观事实证据证明悉大差的话才能信服。事实上，悉大的商学院是澳洲唯一一个得到3个全球商科学术机构认证的学校，只要登陆悉大商学院就能看到哪三个。一个学校教育质量的好坏可以从作业和考试难度看得出而不是从老师，一个星期上10小时课，老师教的东西很少，其余时间靠自学，作业考试越难，自己花的时间，翻阅的材料就越多，学出来的效果就越好。根据其他朋友的反映，八间学校的作业都挺重，可以推断8大之间的毕业生质量相差无几。其中，麦考瑞的考试最难，例如他们考law是3小时案例分析还要是闭卷，其他学校都是开卷，可以想象麦考瑞出来的会比八大的还要强一些。
所以，看自己的喜好，挑适合自己的城市，在研究八大哪一间好根本毫无意义。自己有能力的话，随便一间都会成功，澳洲的高等教育绝对不会把你埋没的，放心。看牌子只是中国人一厢情愿的想法。
墨大更全面，综合更好一些。

APPLICATION/ACCEPTANCE INFORMATION & SEMESTER 2, 2011, and 2012 onwards
新闻概括：
1. 明年7月入学的申请截止日期：日；
2. 部分课程（热门的）的IELTS要求提高至7分总分，单科不低于6；
3. 入学注册日期；
4. 学生的交学费最后限期，按OFFER上的所示去定。
至于Conditioanl Coe的问题，将会在明年3月正式定规定，但明年还是可以做Conditional coe的。
按今年的政策，211工程大学的学生不用担心这个问题，而非211工程大学的学生是做7个学期成绩单的清华认证就可以拿conditional coe，估计政策不会改变太多。
详细如下：
1.&& Participation in the Seven Semester/Special Admissions Process & Semester 2, 2011 （对申请Semester 2, 2011 的学生，学校接受学生申请conditional COE）
The Faculty of Economics and Business will resume participation in the Seven Semester/Special Admissions Process for the Semester 2, 2011, intake.
This means that applicants who have not yet completed their final semester of study, or who have not received their final transcripts and testamur before May 2011, will be able to be assessed for admission and, if eligible, receive and accept a firm offer of admission to one of the Faculty&s Postgraduate coursework programs provided they are able to submit the necessary supporting documentation and their final transcripts and testamur prior to the specified cut off date in July 2011.
In accordance with our normal process, agents will receive an email in March 2011 setting out the Seven Semester/Special Admissions Process criteria and relevant application and document submission cut off dates for all Faculties for the July 2011 intake.
2.&&& English Language Requirements for Economics & Business Programs & 2012 onwards 从2012年第一个intake开始，以下课程的雅思要求提高为总分7，单科不低于6
The Faculty of Economics and Business has amended the English language requirements for admission to its Postgraduate coursework programs so that, from 2012 onward, the English language requirements for admission to all of these courses will be consistent.& Therefore, from the Semester 1, 2012, intake onwards, the standard for admission will be IELTS 7.0 overall (with a minimum of 6.0 in each of the individual bands) and equivalent standard for all other methods of meeting the English language requirement. The change to the English language requirements will apply to the following courses:

Agents are reminded that the University&s standard application closing dates will continue to apply strictly for applications for admission to Faculty of Economics and Business programs.& Applications submitted after these closing dates will not be processed and the applicant will need to reapply for the following semester.
(b)&&& Acceptance Cut-off Date 学生应按offer上的initial payment date前交付学费。
&&&&&& The Faculty of Economics and Business will continue to strictly apply the initial payment dates on Firm Offers of Admission.& All applicants who hold a Firm Offer of Admission for any Undergraduate or Postgraduate coursework program should be advised that, if they wish to accept their offer, they must do so before the initial payment date stated on their offer letter.& This means that their acceptance form and deposit payment must be submitted by close of business on the initial payment date.
Offers to applicants who have not been accepted by the initial payment date on the Firm Offer of Admission will be lapsed.& In this case, if the applicant wishes to attend the University of Sydney, they will be required to re-apply for admission to a later semester.
NB: Where applicants hold completed English Package or University of Sydney Foundation Program (USFP) offers for these programs for their applied semester, these offers will be honoured as normal.

Agents and students are reminded that it is essential for students to arrive in Sydney in time for enrolment and to attend Orientation before they commence their course. The enrolment dates for the Faculty of Economics and Business for Semester 1, 2011 are as follows:
