Some people think that teachers should be responsible for teaching students how to judge right and wrong and how to behave well. Some say that teachers should only teach students about academic subjects. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

<font color="#. 应该，这是老师的天然责任，因为学习教育的定义不仅仅只是灌输学术知识，也包括了把学术塑造成合格公民。此外，现在父母们太忙，所以老师成为唯一的榜样来教会孩子们基本的价值观，道德，以及法律观念。如果老师不教导孩子们是非对错的话，则青少年犯罪一定会增加。

What are the jobs of a teacher in class? Some people give an answer that teachers should be only responsible for teaching academic courses. Personally, I believe another duty of teachers in school to teach social regulations, or how to distinguish the right from the wrong, should never be ignored, and my reasons will be explored as below.
本帖隐藏的内容One hand, in terms of the limited time in school education, it is better for teachers to focus on only teaching academic subjects. In fact, the studying schedule of children in school is very tight and stressful, because a variety of academic courses, from math to physics to literature, contain too much knowledge, too many skills and theories that should be instilled into minds of children by teachers. In contrast, if children were forced to learn extra information about ethics, they would be defeated with an overwhelming amount of knowledge, assignments and exams. Therefore, such information overload will make children lose the energy, concentration and passion on general studying.
On the other hand, there is always a responsibility of teachers in school to teach good morality to children. Obviously, the definition of education is not only about making students academically knowledgeable, but also shaping them as good citizens with right social values and virtues. On the level, teachers should set a positive role model for children to imitate. For example, it is a wonder way for a teacher in class to teach basic concepts about laws and social regulations, and such teaching can also be supported and praised by parents, because their children can become self-discipline, respectful and law-abiding by this way. Similarly, with teacher's instruction about positive lifestyle, such as regular exercise, no addictions in smoking, alcoholism and drugs, can keep children from these ill behaviors in adulthood. Overall, compared with academic knowledge, the benefits which children learn from the teaching of social ethics and roles are lifelong, more valuable and meaningful.
In conclusion, the teaching obligation of teachers in school should cover not only the academic fields, but also social roles and moralities, for the reason that teaching the latter is essential to build up good qualities of children.（395）
