不锈钢表面的转化膜即不锈钢钝化膜,通常由化学钝化取得,而把此化学钝化的过程叫不锈钢钝化.黑色金属表面通过化学反应生成一层非金属的、不导电的、多孔的磷酸盐膜的处理过程称为磷化或磷化处理,形成的磷酸盐膜称为转化膜.钝化在金属表面上形成能抑制金属溶解过程的电子导体膜,而这层膜本身在介质中的溶解度又很小,以致它能使金属的阳极溶解速度保持在很小的数值上,则这层表面膜称为钝化膜.
