The successful candidate will provide expertise and execute research in the field of protein kinases and protein phosphorylation to further our understanding of basic mechanisms by which cells respond to extracellular stimuli. Will both generate and analyze data and prepare manuscripts to disseminate the information to the scientific community.

The successful candidate will provide
expertise and execute research in the field of protein kinases and
protein phosphorylation to further our understanding of basic
mechanisms by which cells respond to extracellular stimuli. Will both
generate and analyze data and prepare manuscripts to disseminate the
information to the scientific community.
Qualifications
Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology or related field.
Three or more years postdoctoral experience in the following:
Experience carrying out cloning, gene expression and experience with mammalian and ba and
experience in analysis of signal transduction pathways involved
protein kinases and protein phosphorylation with a special emphasis on
both cancer cells and cells of the immune system.
applying molecular and cellular approaches to the identification of
signaling mechanisms involving protein kinases and protein
phosphoryation.
Molecular biology skills including cloning,
site-directed mutagenesis, quantitative PCR, generation and use of
lentiviral vectors.
Cell biology skills including cell culture,
generation of cell lines with inducible or stable expression of
proteins and/or shRNAs, analyses of cellular functions including
proliferation and motility, fluorescence microscopy, confocal
microscopy, gene expression, RNA/DNA immunoprecipitation assays.
Protein chemistry skills including protein expression and
purification, kinase assays using radioisotopes, Western
Familiarity with preparing samples for proteomic or
phosphoproteomic analyses.
Familiarity with lab safety
precautions.
Good interpersonal skills with ability to learn
and work independently.
Preferred:
Five or more years in
the experience stated above.
