　　Nowadays more and more people have realized smoking can do harm to people'shealth. However， some people still enjoy smoking. Why？ Because some of them think it is a kind of fashion， some think it is of GREat fun and others， think that smoking can refresh themselves.
　　In fact， smoking is a bad habit. It can cause a lot of diseases. Meanwhile smoking is a waste of money. Besides， careless smokers may cause dangerous fires.
　　Smoking is harmful and it is not only bad for smokers themselves， but also bad for non-smokers.
　　Therefore， I hope all the smokers can give up smoking for themselves and also for the people around them.
　　It is said that there are about half of people in China are smoking.Many young boys and girls have the habit of smoking， though they are middle school students.

1.My topic is: Growing with Beijing, Growing for 2008 For Chinese people, the year of 2001 was important. On July 13, Beijing succeeded in bidding for the 2008 Olympic games. I can’t forgot that numerous people stayed up that night and on TV I saw people walking on the Chang’ an street and waving the national flags excitedly. My mother had told me that in 1993, before I was born, in Monte Carlo, Beijing suffered defeat by Sydney (for the right to stage the 2000 Games 可以省去). She was so disappointed as the result announced. But our country didn’t give up, every people works harder and harder, and look forward the next chance, therefore the success comes a hard way. I feel so lucky to growing up in these years, and share the gladness with our country. We have every reason to believe that Beijing will deliver a truly memorable Olympic games to the world, and I will do what I can for Beijing in 2008.
2.Ladies and Gentlemen, Good morning! I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. Man’s life is a process of growing up, actually I’m standing here is a growth. If a person’s life must constituted by various choices, then I grow up along with these choices. Once I hope I can study in a college in future, however that’s passed, as you know I come here, now I wonder what the future holds for me. When I come to this school, I told to myself: this my near future, all starts here. Following I will learn to become a man, a integrated man, who has a fine body, can take on important task, has independent thought, an open mind, intensive thought, has the ability to judge right and wrong, has a perfect job. ?? Once my teacher said :” you are not sewing, never forget which you should lay out to people is your thought, not craft.” I will put my personality with my interest and ability into my study, during these process I will combine learning with doing. If I can achieve this “future”, I think that I really grow up. And I deeply believe kindred, good-fellowship and love will perfection and happy in the future. ?? How to say future? Maybe it’s a nice wish. Lets make up our minds, stick to it and surely well enjoy our life.
3.My definition of success Today I am very glad to be here to share with you my ideas of success. What is success? It is what everyone is longing for.Sometimes success would be rather simple. Winni getting a high grade in making a n even now I am standing here giving my speech is somehow also success. However, as a person’s whole life is concerned, success becomes very complicated. Is fortune success? Is fame success? Is high social status success? No, I don’t think so. I believe success is the realization of people’ s hopes and ideals.Nowadays, in the modern society there are many people who are regarded as the successful. And the most obvious characteristics of hem are money, high position and luxurious life. So most people believe that s success and all that they do is for this purpose. But the problem is wether it is real success. We all know there are always more money, higher position and better condition in front of us. If we keep chasing them, where is the end? What will satisfy us at last? Therefore, we can see, to get the real Success we must need something inside, which is the realization of people’ hopes and ideals. Different people have different cause people’s hopes and ideas vary from one another. But I am sure every success is dear to everybody, cause it is not easy to come by, cause in the process of our striving for success, we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightened by the most valuable qualities of human beings: love, patient, courage and sense of responsibility. These are the best treasures. So now I am very proud that I have this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you. It is my success, cause I raise up to challenge my hope. What is success? Everyone has his own interpretation as I do. But I am sure every success leads to an ever-brighter future.
