【求助】稿件状态中的 in review 是什么意思？

请教各位战友一个很低级的问题：我用elsevier网上投稿，投完之后稿件状态就是 in review， 现在都快一个月了，还是 in review。不知in review 到底是什么意思？（我搜索了论坛，见有under review和with review的解释，但没有in review。）

谢谢！ 不过，under review是说在主编辑审阅，但时间似乎不应这么长吧。看那个期刊，一般从received到accepted也就是三四十天的时间，难道我的文章一个月了还在主编辑手中压着？另外请问flyover战友，“在评论中”是不是指“同行审阅中”？谢谢。

uder review 和in review是同一个意思，即处于reviewers审稿中，并不是指
editor审阅！这个时间通常是一到两个月不等！

看来各个杂志的往上显示状态略有不同. 有的投稿后STATUS 分别是&NEW MANUSCRIPT; EDITOR INVITED; WITH EDITOR; UNDER REVIEW; WITH REVIEWERS;& 等等. 有的杂志则可能显示不这么详细. 因此投稿后不必着急,实在不放心.也要在2月后再问.因为一般REVIEW 要2-4周,如果两个审稿人意见不统一,而编辑又拿不定主义,则再找第三个审稿人,又要2-4周.各个杂志的效率也不同.

从我投稿经历来看，你这种现象并不少见，一般你投过去了编辑会先审阅，特别是好一点得杂志比如生命科学中5分以上的杂志基本都是这样，如果你的稿子太烂，编辑就会给你退掉，根本不会送到审稿人那里，所以回复都会很快，一般在一周左右，如果在这段时间内没有拒稿的话，说明你得文章已经送到审稿人那里去了，3分以上的的杂志都会有4个左右的审稿人，如果你的文章内容很生僻的话，会要求你推荐国外的审稿人，一般是都通过了以后才会一次接收，并附上审稿意见，一般这个过程因杂志而异，从35天到三，四个月都有，所以你不必着急，当然快的话一个月就搞定，本人曾经投到一个3分的杂志，32天就有回复。

handshealing 同志，需要更正一点，你说到“3分以上的的杂志都会有4个左右的审稿人”，并不确切。很多杂志，如cerebral cortex，the journal of neuroscience，the journal of physiology，FEBS letter等等（不胜枚举），都只有两个reviewer，只有当两个意见不一致的时候才请第三个reviewer。

请教fdsxw 兄一个问题：我们投到cancer research（7.8）和clinical cancer research（5.6）文章修回怎么都有四个审稿人的意见？最近投到BMC cancer中的文章回来怎么也有三个审稿人意见？我的文章投出去了以后，为什么编辑也要我们推荐四个审稿人？回来的已经也都是三个审稿人意见？难道我们的文章都遇到了你说的情况？

呵呵。请handshealing 同志注意我的用词。我的原话是“很多杂志，如cerebral cortex，......都只有两个reviewer”，我说的是“很多杂志”，而不是全部杂志，也不是大部分杂志。相反，老兄表述的是“3分以上的的杂志都会有4个左右的审稿人”，很显然，你指的是全部。即使你的本意不是如此，但也会给人误导。（当然，你要是说你写的是“4个左右”，这个左右可以代表正负3，那就没有问题了，呵呵）。其实，审稿人的数量，这也是不一定的。到目前为止，从1个到4个，我都遇到过：1个审稿人的如Neuroreport、Neuroscience lett，2个审稿人的如The journal of neuroscience, 3个的如european journal of neuroscience, 4个的如 molecular and cellular neuroscience. 是否还有5个、6个、甚至更多，我就不清楚了。同时，每个杂志审稿人的数目也不是一定的。找审稿人对于杂志社来说，是一件不容易的事情，尤其对于一些小杂志。国外审稿很多都是免费的，许多老板并不愿意干这样的差事。再者，在一些领域小同行很少，能够成为审稿人的就更少，因此，能够找到1、2个审稿人就不错了（当然，有些杂志实在找不到同行审稿，就找一些外行，常常提一些莫名其妙的问题，结果倒霉的就是作者）。另外，关于推荐4个审稿人。推荐4个并不表示就一定会有4个审稿人。候选者比当选者多，这是符合常理的。我不是钻牛角尖。凡事严谨一些好！

看来同样的杂志，审稿人数也可能不同，小弟最近发的clinical cancer research修回也只有2个审稿人。

我终于知道了这句话的意思了，原来是编辑给通讯作者（当然是老板了）写了封信要求回信，昨天老板才把信转发给我，是评审意见和确认帐目的，每个彩图版面要$750，我的论文里面有十几张，看来要删掉几个了。这里附上cancer research的稿件状态，供同道参考More About MS StatusIn the Rapid Review(R) system, your manuscript has a different status assigned to it at various stages in the process. Below is a list of the status descriptions used with brief explanations.Incomplete Submission... you have begun the submission process. The submission has been assigned a temporary (TMP) manuscript number. You must complete the submission process.Finish My Submission... by viewing and approving the MS PDF. Once this is done, the submission will be assigned a permanent manuscript number.MS at Check-In... the manuscript is pending a quality check by the staff or editor. This involves verifying that the MS PDF contains a complete manuscript (text, tables, figures, etc.) and is suitable for review purposes.Hard Copy of MS in Transit... the author or the staff as proxy - author has completed the Submission Form online and a hard copy of the manuscript will be mailed to or has already been received by the Journal Office. This status condition persists until the Journal Office receives the hard copy and enters a received date.Conversion to PDF in Process... if the manuscript was submitted in hard copy, the Journal Office has received the hard copy and it is currently in the process of being converted to a MS PDF.If the manuscript was submitted digitally, the MS PDF did not pass the QC process and is not suitable for review purposes. The staff may be in the process of converting the digital files to a new MS PDF or staff may have requested that the author send new file(s). The Journal Office is waiting for the file(s) to upload for conversion purposes.MS Being Pre-screened... if you submitted a manuscript to a journal whose review process includes pre-screening, this status indicates that the manuscript (or the abstract) is currently being pre-screened to determine its appropriateness for the journal.
