The regular past tenses
在本单元中出现的不规则动词有以下几个：

go — went　read — read　　
see — saw
get — got　　　
sit — sat
have/has — had 　 am/is — was
动词的过去式
1. 表示过去某个时间发
生的动作或存在的状态。
2. 表示过去经常或

1. 动词be的变化：waswere
2. 助动词do的变化：
do→ did (在过去时里助动词do没有人称和数的变化)
如：Did you play soccer yesterday?
he play soccer yesterday?
3. 实义动词的变化：
实义动词分规则变化和不规则变化。
规则变化有以下几种：
(1) 一般情况下在动词后加-ed。
e.g. play—played
visit—visited 　
walk—walked
clean—cleaned
(2) 以不发音的e结尾的词，在词尾加-d。
note—noted
like—liked 　
dance—danced 　
name—named
(3) 以一个元音加一个辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节结尾的单词，要先双写这个辅音字母，再加-ed。
e.g. stop—stopped 　
drop—dropped 　
plan—planned
(4) 以辅音字母加y结尾的单词，先改y为i，再加-ed。
e.g. study—studied 　
carry—carried
不规则变化需要按一定的规律逐个记忆。

have/has — had 　 am/is — was
在本单元中出现的不规则动词有以下几个：
Explanation
1. On Saturday morning, I played tennis.
在星期六上午我打了网球。
（1）介词on用来表示时间时表示特指。
e.g. on a cold morning
在一个寒冷的早晨on Sunday在星期天
（2）句中表示的是过去了的那个周末发生的事，所以动词play用过去时。
（3）play 玩，打，演奏
当要表示演奏某种乐器时，要与定冠词the连用。
e.g. play the piano, play the violin…
当它与表示球类运动的名词连用时，不用定冠词。
e.g. play football, play baseball…
play with sb.
与……一起玩耍
play with sth.
玩……（东西）
2. How was your weekend?
你的周末过得怎样？
“How＋一般疑问句”用来询问“某物或某事怎么样？”
因为这里询问的是过去了的事，所以动词be用的是过去式。
e.g. How is the weather today?
今天天气怎么样？
3. It was great!
好极了！/ 太棒了！
类似的句子有 It was OK.
4. What about your friend, Carol?
你的朋友Carol怎么样呢（干了些什么呢）？
“What about …? 怎么样？”这个句型是用来询问消息、提供建议或征询意见的，也可以用“How about…?”。
因为about是介词, 其后只能接名词。如果是动词，动词要加上-ing。
e.g. How about this film?
It's interesting.
这部影片如何？很有趣。
How about playing football?Good idea!去踢足球如何？好主意！

你在周末做了些什么？
（1）这是what引导的特殊疑问句。因为是询问发生在过去的事情，所以用一般过去时态。句中的did是助动词do的过去时，没有实际意义。do是实义动词，是“做”、“干”的意思。
2. visit my aunt
visit 参观（某地）, 拜访（某人）
e.g. I visited the factory over theweekend.在周末我去参观了这家工厂。
3. go shopping 去购物
go＋v-ing 常用来表示去进行某项活动。
e.g. go fishing 钓鱼　　　　　
go swimming 去游泳
go boating 去划船 　　　　　　
go skating 去滑冰
4. a little difficult 有一点难
a little在这里用作状语，表示程度 “有一点，稍微”。
e.g. I'm a little cold/hungry.
我有点冷/饿。

看电视，看电影
watch sb. do sth.
观看某人做某事
e.g. He likes watching children play.
他喜欢看孩子们玩耍。
