PEE WEE DIVISION (13U)

Pee Wee (13U) Spring Baseball

Pee Wee (13U) Spring Baseball will begin early April 2014. In the spring, we anticipate having 3 - 4 Pee Wee A teams and one Pee Wee AA team.
The Pee Wee A teams will play mostly against the other Vernon teams, but will also be encouraged to play a limited number of games against teams outside of Vernon. Players considering playing Pee Wee A baseball, should be prepared to practice once a week and play twice a week, with the odd game being played outside of Vernon.
The Pee Wee AA team will play in the interlock division with Kamloops, Rutland, Kelowna, West Kelowna and Penticton. Players considering playing on the Pee Wee AA team must be prepared to practice once or twice a week and to travel during the week and on weekends to play baseball outside of Vernon. In addition, those playing on the Pee Wee AA team must commit to playing on the Vernon summer Pee Wee AA baseball team.
Evaluations
Evaluations for Pee Wee A and Pee Wee AA baseball teams will be held in early April 2014. Dates and times will be announced shortly.
Pee Wee (13U) A
Initial Team practices for Pee Wee A teams will be held in mid April. Coaches will determine practice times and length of practices during the first two weeks of the season. In addition, each team will be strongly encouraged to have one practice a week for the balance of the year. These practices will most likely be held Saturday mornings. Coaches will determine the time and length of these weekly practices.
Games will likely be played on Monday and Wednesday evenings beginning in early May and will continue through mid-June 2014. Games will begin at 6:00 pm and end at approximately 8:00 pm, depending light being the determining factor. Each child will be expected to be at the field ready to play at 5:35 pm. Each team will generally play twice a week on a rotating nightly basis. As mentioned above, there will be a limited amount of travel as we want our Pee Wee A teams to experience playing teams outside of Vernon as well as teams within Vernon.
Pee Wee (13U) AA
The Pee Wee AA team will practice primarily Tuesdays and Thursdays, and play games as scheduled in the Interlock Division.
Summer Pee Wee (13U) Baseball
In 2014, we expect to have a Pee Wee A summer team and a Pee Wee AA summer team. We want the Pee Wee AA spring team and the Pee Wee AA summer team to be made up of the same players. Players who play on the Pee Wee AA spring team are required to commit to playing on the Pee Wee AA summer baseball team. A player who plays on the Pee Wee AA spring baseball team will be guaranteed a spot on the Pee Wee AA summer baseball team.
