Irvine Unified School District is a school district in
that serves the city of . Established on June 6, 1972, IUSD serves approximately 30,000 K-12 students at twenty-two elementary schools, six middle schools, four comprehensive high schools and one continuation high school.
Irvine has been frequently recognized among the top school systems in California and the United States. On the state’s latest , which measures overall achievement on a scale of 200 to 1,000, IUSD posted a districtwide score of 921, marking a five-point increase over the previous year.
Irvine schools have earned the state’s highest honor – the label of
– 48 times since 1986, and all four comprehensive high schools have been recognized at least once. All four comprehensive high schools have also earned the distinction as , the nation’s highest level of recognition for K-12 campuses. In all, IUSD has produced 13 Blue Ribbon schools since 1983.

Parking permit paper work is available outside the security office, which is located in the downstairs office. Please fill out both forms. To be able to purchase a permit you must first complete the Smart Start Program. Permits are $45 and are good for the entire school year. You will then be responsible for arranging with Paul to have the sticker placed on your vehicle.
Those vehicles without a parking permit will be tagged with green stickers, the ones that are extremely hard to remove, and IPD will be issuing parking tickets to those without a current
IHS parking permit.
