我觉得选 C假如要选for whom的话 life前必须加the ，这里life没有定语和修饰词。whose life相当于 Jack's life. 拆分从句可以分为：Jack London was successful later.主句His life had once been very hard. 这里的his，就用whose所有格来修饰，后面是名词。PS： 经过一番考虑，life前面是可以不加任何修饰词的，例如Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you are gonna get. 这样证明我的选择是错的。暂时我也想不到为何whose不能选。期待下一位有更精彩的回答吧。当然， for whom也是可以选的。根据拆分句子，第二个句子可以是 life had once been very hard for him. 这里就把for 前置， 然后加上whom。 也是可以理解的。

选D,是标准答案where=介词+which， he could see 。。。。from by the windom，选C少个介词。
答案应该用D。此题容易被C干扰。因为他不是“从窗户”可以看到外面发生的事，而是“从窗户旁边”看到，即from by the windom，所以定语从句的连接词应用from where。

因为wait不是一个延续性动词在和延续性时间状语for two hours联用时要改用had been waiting 表示状态
因 为for two hours是段时间
所以首先确定要用完成时，然后因为狂热的歌迷已经等了两个小时 但是他们还在等 这个等的动作依然继续 所以要用完成进行时望采纳
这是过去完成进行时，比较复杂的时态，文中说他们已经等了2小时，但是还要等，知道电影明星到来，表示过去做过的是还要做，还没完成动作，可以详细看看时态
同楼上，“wait ”不是延续性动词，不能用“for two hours”不选C for+时间段 ，或since+时间点 是现在完成时/完成进行时的标志不选A B，排除法也行，其实就是把不延续性动词（do）变成延续性的（be doing）,因为是完成时，所以 变“done”为“been
