would have fallen
should(ought to/could/may/might/)+have done 表示“过去应该做而未做到”的虚拟语气，语气最强的是should，最弱的是might。should(ought to） have done表示强烈责备，这里小女孩掉进河中并无责备语气，就用would have fallen 表示与过去事实相反的一种情况。
