关于英语翻译考试的问题
我是英语专业毕业的,通过了专业八级。现在从事的工作和英语没有太大关系,但是也不想把学了四年的东西完全丢掉,所以想考个翻译的证书。考证书的目的不是完全为了增加今后跳槽的筹码,因为不太想从事全职翻译的工作,只是希望在正职工作之余做点兼职翻译,既能利用本专业又能赚点零花钱。还有一个重要的原因就是,虽然自己想不断学习,可总感觉只有考试的压力才有学习的动力……(应试教育的结果咩?)查了一点CATTI考试的资料,感觉好难啊……而且不知道应该考笔译还是口译更适合。希望对翻译有热情有经验的筒子们来回答我的问题~~~非常感谢!

我个人认为如果你想做口译就直接联系口译考试吧~~~~~但是做兼职的话,笔译比较方便一点,可以没有地域和时间限制。口译比笔译收入要高很多,笔译的话,如果真的开始兼职了,就会感觉自己非常非常宅,每天除了上班就是兼职和吃饭睡觉,我亲自体会。不过如果真的热爱英语,长期从事的话,笔译也不错,等到老了退休了也可以一直做,不会觉得无聊。

看目前的水平,如果一直没有放弃英语学习,那么只要参加一些有关翻译的培训课程,了解自己的不足,增加一些翻译的技能,就可以慢慢开始做,有一个网站是专门介绍翻译行业的,好像是骑士翻译,还要可以下载的学习课程和考试资料,还不错,比较实用翻译考试证书有两种,CATTI 是比较难的,相当于职业翻译,另一种全国翻译证书容易一点

记忆力好的话考口译还是蛮不错的,其实个人认为口译比笔译简单点,因为每一段吸收的内容少些,容易handle,笔译对语言的要求更高些,比较demanding
赚零花的话还是笔译好吧 口译要占时间 笔译的话你可以在业余时间分块做啊 基本上你专八证书在了笔译水平也在的吧 试试去那种求职或者翻译网站看看有没有要接的

兼职翻译的话基本上都是做笔译 而且专业领域比较多 考证帮助不大 不如专攻某个专业领域的英语 比如法律英语 机械英语什么的……即使是做全职翻译 纯翻译也很少的 或多或少要和业务挂钩 纯翻译人家会请30岁以上的人员来做 而且都得是一级翻译级别了 考个二三级的证不管用的 能力最重要

A这门课从一定程度上就是口译课程。学习中要求尽量缩短note(比如简写、开头字母组合、数字符号等等技巧)、要求口头表达多于书面记录、要求分组交流……不论是受东方人骨子里的含蓄的影响,还是现代应试教育作业多如牛毛、传统教育的重视笔试等等窘境,口头表达能力始终是学生们的弱项。也有老师说英语系学生英语说的不错,但往往“两个黄鹂鸣翠柳——不知所云,一行白鹭上青天——离题万里”。主要是因为英语系学生减少了对时事大事的关注,以及课堂上注重讲,但不注重怎样讲而造成的。我认为外教们上课由于大多着重于鼓励学生开口讲,而忽略了学生使用英语的规范性与逻辑性。讲英语,不仅仅需要一口流利的伦敦腔,更在乎的是表达的人究竟想要讲什么,怎么讲。这也就使得历年口译考试第二环,口试部分成为众多考生面前不可仰望的一座大山。
